The reason why people were so annoyed with this take is because you looked at a team that wasn't playing well and the inevitable frustration of the players and somehow that became "There is a rift between Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak." Sure …… OR MAYBE the coach wasn't getting the right performance out of the players, is FIRED, and then substituted by a worse temporary coach that did nothing to save the free-fall season that this washed core was having because Boston also loves to hold on to mid players who have tenure (Carlo, Coyle, Frederic) who all have dwindling value. And MAYBE the front office and Marchy couldn't agree on a price and Florida (the obvious cup favorite) outbid Boston and Marchy wanted the best chance to get another cup…….But no, Marchand and Pastrnak are leaving each other on read and refuse to play on a line together …..
