I can honestly say, a 2nd round pick in 2026 is not a terribly bad as the HABS had 2 picks so getting a deeper center will help that 2nd line, but Danault is not the idle person to be honest he has 5 points in 30 games and this guy has lost his mojo big time. He is at $5.5 million for this season and next. I think the GM was not getting any good bites for anyone better and he jumped on this one. Not thrilled in the least to have Danault back but he is a better defensive center than what we currently have.
