Only way we trade Erod is to improve our D. Having said that Erod stays. I think Zito looking more to swap Boqvist for an upgraded D. Trade Petry, Bo, and a pick to upgrade the D.
I agree jaws. Considering where we’re at right now I don’t think that there’s a move to make if Barkov doesn’t come back. I think it’s better that E-Rod and/or J-Bo/an extra to be first off the bench if something where to happen in the playoffs. I rather just stay put and see what happens for now

Boquvist may not have the numbers but the guy plays hard and lays the wood when you need it. Samoskevich is too soft with the puck. He's fast, but what good is the speed if you get the puck stolen from you every time entering the zone. Also, he gets out muscled when chipping and chasing. The dude needs to either hit the gym or take some notes from Marchand. That being said, his upside is high and I wouldn't trade away a 1st round draft pick.
I’m going to be honest. Even if Barkov does not return I do not believe there is a trade that will make it worth it. Any upgrade from our current 4th line will likely cost us a player and I personally feel that the improvement we would find is likely not going to change our chances of winning the cup without Barkov.
I can foresee us winning without Barkov (as long as it is not Colorado.)
We need a solidified 4C(like a Stenlund) for like a 3rd rounder at the deadline. Can find good 4Cs at under a mil
