We’re going over the idea of Vancouver Canucks superstar Elias Pettersson getting traded to the Montreal Canadiens, and what the price would cost.
Could Michael Hage, Adam Engstrom, Oliver Kapanen and more get it done?

Hahaha never happening, from a realistic Habs fan
Is Petey really that bad that we have to give him away for free? A 2nd round pick (previous 1st, 2nd, 3rd round pick) HAHAHA not even a first?
That is not a fair trade at all.
dude is making same $ as connor mcdavid, let that sink in
Hage for Petterson 1 for 1 is a no go. Engstrom and Kapanen are both A prospects. I'd be ok with offering one of them + a 2nd round pick. You can't use the Q Hughes trade as a baseline. Hughes is an elite defenseman. Petterson is 3 years out of his last good season. Petterson is a 60-70pt guy now and his current value can't be compared (not even remotely) to Q Hughes. He's 28 and his production will naturally start to trend downwards. He's not going to get 90pts again. Can you imagine if they offered us Petterson 1 for 1 for Lane Hutson? We'd hang up the phone so fast.
Nah.. Laine, Newhook and Dach will come back eventually. If we make a move, it should be for a badass playoffs/cup winner.
I don't think he gets moved unless ownership is comfortable retaining 2.5+ million.
I don't think any team's going to part ways with premium assets to take him on at his full cap hit.
Just getting rid of that contract would be worth it. If they could get away from retaining any of that contract, I'd take a bag of practice pucks.
Ep40 is playing a game , he will return to 90 pts soon as he leaves Van. He dosnt want to be in Van. He said as much back in 2020.
Canucks hockey was so much fun with Tocchet, Zadorov, JT Miller, and Hughes. Allvin giving Pettersson that contract ruined all of that.
I don't think this works for anyone. It's a lot for habs to pay. even though I'm confident petey would have a huge impact on their roster, there is some risk. For canucks, it's not enough, and we don't need 2 more center prospects. With rossi, cootes and petey, with the odd chytil, we don't need any immediate centers, i'd rather backfill that position in the draft. We need impact wingers to support our centers.
Elias to MTL will never happen because Hughes isn't an idiot.
Elias is overpaid and has a bad attitude that won't gel in the MTL dressing room.
Haha Canuck are and will stay stuck with Patterson and he doesn’t fit Habs players profile and criteria 😂😂
1/ He just turned 27 so will be really good for at least 2-3 more years
2/ Is cost controlled and 11,6 will in 2 years be a steal
3/ The question for Vancouver is what is their timeline. Are they retooling for 2-3 years, then they should trade him for picks and prospects, if they intend to be good next season they wont trade him
4/ It all depends on how you value EP, Montreal fans and many in Vancouver seem to think he is a 60 point player and then the package is a lot. I see him as a point per game player still, and he was before he got hurt, who is really good defensively and then the price is a steal
Still point number 3 is the most important one as he is to old for a rebuild or even a proper retool
Montreal are more likely looking for a gritter 200 foot player to complement the rest of their top 6. And that contract? Yeah, nope.
Ep is not a elite….1 season of where everything went right.
After that those numbers fall of a cliff.
Mtl does not need his bad attitude….or his weak play…they already have Laine for floater
How stupid are people so hard it is to find a top centre why will you trade the one we have
I think I would do Petey for reinbacher and a 1st.
no thx
Pettersson is a average top 6
To MTL : EP40, D-Petey
To VAN : Hage, Zharovsky, Pickford
EP40 isnt going to fetch anywhere close to that much value lol… If he was that valuable, he would have already been moved
Don’t touch that guy to much money and he is over rated
not happening
He’s not going anywhere also you’re videos are still lame
