  1. Senneca plays on the first line. What would Demidov's numbers be if he played with Suzuki and Caufield all season? Demidov has a rookie center and a rotation of wingers. With limited time on the PP.

  2. When looking at standings, goal differential is often a bigger indicator of team ability than total points. Looking at underlying numbers helps paint an even better picture.

    Generally:
    1) multiple close wins with a few blowout losses = playoff ready team
    2) multiple close losses with a few blowout wins = playoff bubble team
    3) multiple blowout wins = playoff contender
    4) multiple blowout losses = rebuilding/struggling team

  3. Zharovsky definitely has the skill and flash. If he can translate to a smaller rink and more physical play, he has top 6 potential for sure. He’s just a bit on the smaller side and needs to fill out a lot more. Hopefully he has a good strength and conditioning coach out there because he doesn’t have the same elusive play style that Caufield has. Caufield is one of the sneakiest players at finding open ice and timing his moments to join a play and position himself for an open pass / shoot play. Zharovsky plays a lot more like a guy who needs the puck on his stick to create opportunities but he’s such a magician with the puck.

  4. That 2025 Draft could be really good for the Habs … Alex Zharovsky and Bryce Pickford (Noah Dobson was also obtained from 2025 draft picks traded to NYI).

  5. If he's able to put up these kinds of numbers on a sh1tty team at his age, it's even more impressive. You can't expect a rookie to carry the whole team in his shoulders (unless you're a Gretzky or a Lemieux) and lead them out of mediocrity.

  6. To be fair… He's playing ice time, cuz their team isn't a big team. Demidov was barely playing at times. If he played 16 minutes he would be probably 1st overall as a rookie.

  7. Hi , easy on the unridiculous, aside getting lots of good ice time, z plays in the section were teams are way weaker, as oppose to rich moscow st-petersburgh etc,

  8. Great observations!
Suzuki has become quite a talented 2 way player. Took some time to get to this level but he has earned it very well indeed!
Demidov is still grooming into an NHL’er which I see no reason why he won’t be able to produce a point a game on a consistent level as his matures along with his present linemates.
This team has had challenges with the injuries but it has given others a chance to develop & show management their potential. Fowler is simply going to get better as he matures. Only 21 but plays like he is 25 already ! He doesn’t crumble if he gives up a bad goal & seems always well positioned to make the puck hit him somehow.
Hutson is just on another planet. Right now he can dominate but wait till he matures into his prime !! If our PP keeps playing well, Hutson will be a big part of that success. 90 points is not out of the question.
Lastly, our Russian prospect is definitely a talented player but there are things he won’t be able to get away with at the NHL level. Great hands & vision which will make him dangerous in the offensive zone. Still raw but he plays with tons of confidence! Pretty impressive given he was not even chosen in the 1st round last year!!
This is really scary for the NHL to have such a tremendous depth chart at disposal!
The management team have really been making solid decisions. Aside from the unfortunate injuries, we are gaining momentum during this impressive rebuild !
    Merry Christmas!
