Zadorov wobbled him with a solid right at 0:27, Xhekaj showed heart then answered with a big right hand at 0:37 followed by that flurry of lefts, then Zadorov decided he needed a hug. Good scrap.
Great scrap. Z getting the edge with an uppercut and a right to the helmet, then Xhekaj lands a big right, a couple lefts after Z is stunned, then Z pushes for the takedown. Overall I'd say pretty damn close to 50-50.
Incredibly rare modern NHL fight that actually had some skill, grit and balance involved. Good to see, although it's only a few times a season these days.
Xhekaj did amazing to stay in that fight. He got jacked by that overhand right, then fed some uppercuts. Eventually he landed a good one on Zadorov. 👏👏👏
