personally i think Kasper going down getting some goals and some confidence back in his game could be what he needs.
Trade Kasper to a team that is looking for a center who can’t score.
I don't think you can send Kasper down at this point without the risk of wrecking his development. Look at what's happened to every other player we have moved up and down multiple times. It was smart with MBN because it was early. He had gotten a taste of the NHL, so he could go to the AHL and clean things up. Kasper played in the AHL, made his way to the NHL, played a full season, and has played most of this season. If the Wings send him down, they could wreck his confidence and ruin his relationship with the team. We aren't losing. He isn't hurting us. Let him go through his struggles and give him time to learn. There is no reason to do something drastic that risks messing up his career path. Recency bias is a real thing. People always freak out during sophomore slumps. Anaheim freaked out ovwr Zegras and regret it. Be patient. We know the player he can be. People need to lay off him a bit, and I guarantee he gets it going sometime after the New Year.

Kasper just doesn’t seem “in it” I think after his second line demotion, he lost his confidence in a way. Seeing that line instantly click after his departure couldn’t have helped either. Keeping him in DET or moving him down to GR is a lose-lose situation. The question is when will the decision be made… with John coming into the picture and proving his worth, the answer is right in front of you.
If Detroit wants to win now. Leonard will stay up. It also creates an opportunity to do a lopsided trade if he continues to play well
I think we should send Kane down.
Kasper hasn't done anything all year. You can pull some random stats but he's a goal scorer not scoring.
how are we going to send leonard back down with no NMC or ELC? he’s getting scooped up immediately if we put him on waivers to send him down
