I feel like the leafs are the epitome of a day late and a dollar short
I use to play street hockey against Marc Savard as a kid. I am sure this is a welcome early Xmas gift for him.
I would love to see Robertson, Cowen and Laughton on a line together. Lots of energy and works hard.

Thats it for now. But frankly the best thing to happen is to finish bottom 5 and keep our 1st round pick. Trade players and get more picks. We have good pieces on this team but after losing Marner its an adjustment year.

Why did they bring in Marc Savard knowing his work in Calgary was bottom of the league?
To be fair, just throwing the PP out there with zero plan and no set plays is basically guaranteed to have better results than whatever Savard had them doing. Is this even worth being called a change? No… But hey, removing one small yet massively incompetent piece isn't a bad thing either.

Turns out the problem underpinning everything wrong with the leafs was an assistant coach whose responsibilities were the the PP. Amazing! That was all it took!
Treliving and Berube have equal power according to Pelley after Shanahan was let go!
OMG, I have gone through 7 years of Ducks terrible hockey and I can tell you Mr Dangle will eventually panic when the hapless Leafs go on a winning streak instead of tanking. It’s awful, but you know you need to lose every game, so you can get the second pick after Chicago.
Can’t change players on a position of weakness, tank with these players and re-rule next year.

Billion dollar franchise and can't even buy the Stanley cup with great players! Not one real great player wants to play for this soft team that baby their players and get them ready for another team and/or end up retiring with the franchise with nothing to show for it

Looking like they are writing the season off and these was a lipstick on a pig face wash for the fans. I’d imagine GM and Coaching staff are all done at seasons end now I don’t think Berube’s system is built for this roster, but once you blow up the GM and coaching where do you go from there. No assets that can be moved no draft picks and why would any free agent worth having want to be in this dressing room.
So let’s fire the coach, bring in a coach who’s “nice” and go through another soft playoff performance??? No thanx. Start benching stars! You’re losing anyways. Send a message… play hard or watch from the bleachers!
