Winnipeg Jets: Is This Already Too Late? with Mike McIntyre

The Winnipeg Jets’ struggles continue after a frustrating 1–0 loss in St. Louis, and serious questions are starting to pile up.

Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press joins Andrew “Hustler” Paterson to break down what’s gone wrong, why the Jets aren’t making meaningful lineup changes, and whether the organization has waited too long to inject new energy from the Manitoba Moose. The conversation also dives into coaching decisions, loyalty vs. accountability, and the difficult Jonathan Toews situation as his role continues to shrink.

With the Jets slipping in the standings and urgency rising, McIntyre asks the uncomfortable question: are the Jets already past the point of no return?

  1. Play the kids …. Bench a few pretenders ( 91, 14 ) move Barron up . Toews experiment is on thin ice ! Lets face it …. From a team thats had an abundance of depth up front for many years the cupboards are awfully bare at the moment! Positives: Stanley has made big strides to respectability this year!

  2. Agree totally with Mike McIntyre’s take on what’s going with the Jets. Like Huss said continuing to do the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result is the definition of insanity.

  3. HOW LONG DO THEY WAIT FOR CHANGES TO BE MADE ?? Trades or movement form moose ??? It cant get any worse ? or are we just waiting to play the Number ! team in the league to flip the switch ?/ Toews , sorry but you need to retire ! Sorry ??

  4. Jets playing like they’ve known since July that they don’t have a chance. Playing like they are confused with management decisions so far this season, and playing like they know no matter how good they are, a ref will swallow his whistle when our best players get taken out of the playoffs by a targeted predatory hit

  5. need an Act Of God in COLORADO And at least a field goal !!!!!! Mnagement is not doing THEiR Job !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!????????????????????? FFS

  6. Time to start booing the crap out of these guys and send a message to management. The seats are going to start emptying out soon.

  7. Fueled by stubbornness. It’s a double edged sword. Worried that schenn might get upset that he gets waived. Shows they are more concerned with feelings over being serious about winning. Refusing to make a choice is still a choice. Clearly the signings this past off season were atrocious. Saying we’re wrong and showing accountability to the fans that pay the bills is actually a good thing but this organization is seems is always last to the party!

  8. season is cooked. there's no way we're getting through the central in the playoffs even if we snuck in. trade all non-core vets after christmas. pray for mckenna. then luckily the core is in good shape next year when salo, barlow, and yager come in.

  9. We the fans can see the problems the jets are facing and I believe all is not lost. Practice does not always make perfect but I'm sure I can't hurt. A message from me, an armchair couch, get those guys moving in our zone quickly man on man I promise it will make all the difference. Don't stand back 7 feet your stick is not that long, get after the man immediately.

  10. why? why isn't Chevy's job in jeopardy? Does Chipman value friendship over success and championships? Then the problem lies with ownership!

  11. November is ALWAYS a measuring stick to see where you will be at play off time. It’s chevy that needs the right mix of guys. The additional or supplemental players he brought in are all avg players. Sorry none will help for a play off push. He still has NOT addressed a 2nd line center and a legit Dman. Also throwing in there a legit backup goalie
