How is this guy still making Team USA is beyond me and I’m a Canadian. Once I heard he went to Germany last year as GM I’d shut him down and let him heal. This has nothing to do with losing Mitch he was scoring without Mitch. He changed his game to a complete game but 69 goals and 33 and now on pace for 50+ points what happened. Now I can’t say he’s a top 10 or 5 player I’m just confused unless he wants out from Toronto it is truly disappointing. He’s my favourite player too! Feels like Vince Carter waiting to happen or maybe it’s the coach
Matthews could say so much more to get this fan base behind them win or lose. It would be nice to get more energy from crowd when they don’t have legs right away, which has been the trend.
This team is still learning to play with major changes and if they can make playoffs, they are built for a rough and tumble run.
A mediocre regular season seems like the irony needed to get closer to Stanley Cup win. Too much to say…. Go leafs go!!!
