  1. SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League’s Player Safety Committee today announced the following suspensions as a result of incidents between the Toronto Marlies and the Laval Rocket at the conclusion of the second period of their game on Dec. 12:

Toronto forward Michael Pezzetta has been suspended for three (3) games as a consequence of an illegal check to the head of an opponent. He will miss Toronto’s games Sunday (Dec. 14) vs. Cleveland, Dec. 20 vs. Belleville and Dec. 21 at Belleville.

Laval forward Alex Belzile has been suspended for three (3) games, Laval forward Laurent Dauphin has been suspended for three (3) games, Laval forward Joshua Roy has been suspended for three (3) games and Laval forward Samuel Blais has been suspended for one (1) game as a consequence of leaving the players’ bench during an altercation.

All four players will miss Laval’s game today vs. Bridgeport. Belzile, Dauphin and Roy will also miss Laval’s games Dec. 18 and Dec. 20 at Cleveland.

  2. 27 white, leaving the bench to get a non-paid vacation until the new year. That was the dumbest move of this video.

  3. If hockey policed itself, there wouldnt be cheap shots.
Just kids with anger issues, drug problems, and a stick.

  4. I dont understand why Laval players would get off the bench with one even starting stuff with the guy that just got done fighting. Leaving the bench like that is the quickest way to get an automatic suspension

  5. Um the cheap shot was after the fight by the Laval player who came off the bench. Then there were several more cheap shots from the Laval bench. Marlins should have cleared the bench!

  6. It wasn’t a head shot. He may not have seen him coming but principle contact was the shoulder. Pezetta immediately responded to the bell and that should have ended it. But you get cowards from Laval jumping the bench after a guy has already fought. I hope they get 10 plus games for all who left the bench.

  7. The wifi bro did a good job of exacting some vengeance. But what a dipshit play by the Toronto guy – just the kind of clown the Leafs would like.

  8. AHL is better than the NHL most nights. Laval is picking up at least 3 or 4 suspensions in that fight after the hit. How were they able to get 8 or 9 guys onto the ice during a fight. Tge hit wasn't good, it's charging for starters. He almost got the shoulder but definitely got the head.

  9. Power play ending, teammates do not warn you of the incoming player (regardless of a hit or a potential steal), shoulder to shoulder… Pazetta does what he does..
    I blame the Rockies..
They may have come after the hit, but why no preemptive warning?
    Come on..

  10. Hits and legal body checks fine.. but others should come with automatic suspensions and fines. What this was I don't know I don't follow hockey anymorw.
