I love what the guys are saying here. It gives hope for the future.
Now we just need the management to not trade these players who want to stay.
As an eternally pessimistic person, I'll wait and see how it goes.
Boeser for captain button 👉
Talent wise, Quinn was right next to Bure in Canucks legacy. Leadership wise, he was one of the worst captain's this team has ever had.
Ep40 C
All three are faster than Boeser, Boes needs to step it up for money he gets.
quinn isn't a good leader, just got the captaincy because he was the best player 😂
guy has wanted out for 18 months, he's a cry baby, good luck freezing your stones off in minnesota lol
Brock is having a hard enough time being a decent NHL player, he doesn’t need the stress of the C. Guys would be in tears every night in front of the media.
BB: That’s captain my captain!
I'd say Garland is the heart and soul guy on our team. He definitely leads by example. Is he captain material? Out of the remaining guys, he may be the best option.
Take it easy with the new guys. Buium got a lucky goal and an assist. He gonna take time to develop into a more complete player. Hopefully he's better on the defensive end with decent offensive upside. Hughes was great on the puck, but he lacked size to compete defensively. I'd like to see the new guy put on ten pounds. He could turn out to be a more defensively dependable version of Hughes. Hopefully not as much of a puck hog. Hughes hurt the team with selfish play, especially this year…
yess he was one of our best D's ever to play and no one can skate like him except for Cale Makar…. but he's D was always bot soo great and this young 20 year old… give him time and let him do what he wants… he can skate very well… thats too bad we never got Matt Boldy with the package… but sorry he wasnt a good captain and u can see he didnt want to stay in Vancouver… oh well time too move on… now this management needs to go… they better not trade Garland…
Being a warrior is not always about winning. It’s also about never giving up… Who knows who will be the last man standing with these veterans. The show must go on as they say… A true blue leader-Captain will emerge at some point. For now, let’s enjoy & see what these young kids got… Go Canucks Go!!
Garland and Demko are our bigfest trade chips. They have contracts expiring and renewed with out current trade protection. Problem is that they both actually want to play in Vancouver and that matters. Chances are they get traded though for a proper rebuild. Along with Sherwood.. They all can make impact on contending teams.
It's probably best to role with Triple A's throughout this season.
It seems that every player that wore the C on the jersey had already left this team….lol just have triple A's throughout the season…lol
Its Brocks team, its always been his team.
No C for the moment imo. My first thought Boeser but I'm not sure now lol. Garland he could be good too. Maybe it needs to be another D like Hronek
Coner garland canuck next captaincy
Why do they have to crown a captain now
Why cannot they alternate the captaincy?
I believe in order to be a good captain you have to show loyalty to your teammates and to the team that drafted you or wanted you via trade. I think Boeser's loyalty to the franchise is exceptional especially being an American born player. I personally think he's at the perfect age to be captain of this team and he still has multiple years left on his contract. He's an underrated leader. He also has the longest tenure among Canucks players. He deserves it.
Garland, Boeser, Sherwood and Demko should be moved while they still have trade value
