Tippett needs to be traded for a 2c or 2d. He obviously is not going to fit into this system. He has 0 hockey IQ and fits best on a rush team like MTL. But other GM's see the same issues we do and they aren't easy to overlook. The price tag will get it done though.
We keep referencing Nikita Kucherov as if there is some sort of comparison there to be had. Yeah they're both Russian lol, but Kucherov played his "4th line minutes" with Ondrej palat and Tyler Johnson. Of his 65 points that season, it was a combination of him and Palat or him and Johnson with 51 of those 65 points. I don't know how a player can play with two guys who were factors on 78% of his points and his production isn't a reflection of the line he is on. If you want Michkov to be Kucherov, things are not going as planned
Can someone please explain this? Maybe Jason has an idea why on earth Hathaway still plays every game while Tocchet keeps talking about accountability and “picking it up.” He looks lost, contributes almost nothing, and actively hurts the team with a -8 rating and 25 PIM. Do we actually have a standard in Philly, or not?

Coots should have had Stone but I think what crossed him up is that there was a Vegas player near the point on the near wall. He got caught covering two players high because Andrae committed to covering down low thus blowing the man to man coverage that you ave to do in OT.
Jason something needs to be done about overtime games the last I check the leading ot team is on pace for 25 ish ot games! Team are just sand bagging to secure 1 point and I feel it's starting to hurt the game!
Fans want to see Michcov fail forward. Not treat him like he is a problem. He might give up .5 goalw per game but he may score and help his teammates score more. The skating thing is an excuse at this point. What kind of rebuild is this when the vets who have legs are making similar mistakes. He doesnt look slow anymore. You guys just are parroting the coaches narratives. Let him play and grow. Maybe we lose a game out of every 6 or 7 but we may when the same with him getting better. You drafted this guy to be your future now you dont want to play him. Weak
Tocc hates Michkov Flyers fan is the same fan that didnt want Tocc to start with and still wants to tank and sell for another year or two. There is no compromise here. I love Michkov but no way im giving him more ice time, hes been trash, people just need to be honest about it.

Fans have to buck up and give MM39 probably the season to get this new system down. He came to Philly playing an offensive game that crushes kids in juniors and your poorer NHLers. (Slowing the flow up…attacking individual, less talented players in the offensive zone.)
He does look slow but it looks to me like he is at the learning stage where he is thinking about playing hockey instead of just playing hockey.
He will get this. Tocc wants him to push the play in the offensive zone and attack positive space once crossing the blueline. Opposite of his natural game.
It's not about this season. Michkov having a statistical poorer sophomore season to insure greater things when the prospect kids start flourishing, is going to be so well worth it.
MM39 needs to stay in Philly next summer to train. I think he now realizes being great in the NHL means training hard.

Flyers had 4 PP yesterday. Michkov was on ice for 1:23 of those PP. Tippett was at 4:22

Flyers have a Michkov problem……….. massive concern in the front office.
Came in camp way overweight and poor cardio simply zero excuse for it. He is 21 how long will it take for him to get in shape. the Flyers are very concerned about just how bad he has been. Must play way better than he is now…….Just an average player this season…….
This fan base is always losing their mind about something. There has been a group complaining about Tocchet since he was hired and are looking for any reason to validate themselves or call for his firing. Michkov is his own worst enemy right now and needs to step up in the ice time he is given, regardless of Tocc. I'd slightly prefer Mich in over Tippett right now in 4on4/PP situations but not by much. Hopefully Mich steps up based on adversity instead of being immature about it and takes notes from Brink in the off season rather than showing up overweight and tired.
Just because Michkov has a higher ceiling than most, it does not mean he isn't a project. Celebrini is .01% of hockey players in the world. You have to be in the top 1% of hockey players just to be a career NHLer alone. Take some perspective and a deep breath and relax
