  1. I hate crowds when I surf but if there is a shark in the water I’m ok with crowds . Why were you surprised there is a shark in the ocean ?

  2. Always keep in mind your a perceived food source and it's their world in the water, and it's just your leisure time there! I guess FAFO……Sharks in the water near or spotted go somewhere else no matter how good the wave are!'

  3. We call people who swim or surf in the ocean "bait"! No offense, but once you enter that environment, you are no longer on the upper food chain. You become a potential food source!

  4. He dosnt know if that’s the closest he’s ever been. People are so naive. Oh gee I took a go pro out and a shark was near me. Uh duh …. When you didn’t have a go pro the shark probably charged you each time you surfed and backed off at the last second.

  5. Surfing is not the problem. The problem is people thinking that the ocean is safe. It was never safe and it never will be.

  6. Fun Fact all Surfers have been close to a great white in the water at one point or another. Most time you never know.

  7. It’s the closest YOU THINK you have been closest to a shark in the water!!! How many other times you have not spotted them?

  8. Was it smart to run away like that? I have heard in situations like this it’s best to stay calm.

  9. Sharks are great.. I have a private 130 acre salt water lake on my compound and I have several different species of sharks and other fish in there ..

  10. They need to be Hunted and caught. We are predators too. We don’t RENT this fkn planet. So sick of all this feel good bullshit.

  11. Male ego confidence turns into full blown shit in your pants panic in mere seconds 😂😂😂😂😂😂

  12. If that shark really wanted him he'd be dead. Lucky for him it was a juvenile. You ain't outpaddling him, Jack!

  13. Early 80’s I was surfing “Old Man’s,” with my high school football coaches. All of a sudden a fish about 3-5’ long comes flying out of the water. They all started laughing. They said you know what that means, something a lot bigger is hungry and chasing that big ass fish. I always saw small sharks pulled up at the pier at HB where I grew up, but didn’t realize until I started heading south, even into Mexico in my later years, that we are just snacks floating in the water.

  14. That looks like trails surf spot (San Onofre) very 🦈 spot, however they are juvenile and smaller just like that one. It’s a popular spot for sharks and only ever heard of 1 attack and the lady survived

  15. I surf Texas and a dolphin jumped out of the water right in front of me, it was huge and dark colored and my first thought was it was a killer whale and I about went into cardiac arrest until I realized there's no killer whales in Texas and I saw it jump out again and I realized it was a fuckin dolphin! Scared the everliving shit out of me!

  16. A Better Title for this video would be “ Old man who Should know Better does impersonation of a Seal ” 🦭🦈

  17. Thats one of the reasons you should never surf alone. At least the shark have options and you have better odds.

  18. I had a 6 ft Bull go right through my legs after flipping around, stopping, fin pops up, circles a 180 right at me!!! Submerges at arms length right in front of me. Lucky for me because when I got back to Ohio, a 15 year old was thrown out of the water and lost his leg, from my hometown, just a few days layer… 😲
