I hate to see Hughes gone (and Horvat, and Miller, and NOT Boeser, and NOT Myers… Ugh); but I don't like the hyperbole. Why doesn't anyone remember Paul Reinhart? At the end of his career, and with a broken back, he was still one of the best D-men in the game, in the couple of seasons we were blessed to have him in Vancouver. Hughes is maybe better… But "not even close"? Not even reality. And Pavel Bure, NOT EVEN CLOSE, remains the greatest skilled player in Canucks history. Recency bias is ridiculous. Too bad if you never saw them play… We don't forget them. And we haven't even mentioned the sublime excellence of The Sedins. Hughes is ONE OF THE BEST players in Canucks history, certainly. Sorry, it "IS CLOSE", with these other players of the past. Cheers!

hate to see him go. he was being wasted in vancouver. they got warm bodies..all 1st rounders. canucks will definitely be drafting early with their pick. look forward to watching them suck for the next few years. buium will likely play with hronek.
I’d rather have the Canucks team than the Leafs I’ll tell you that much. When have the Leafs had a D man with Buium’s talent? And I’d take McKenna over Matthews any day of the week.

Right now, I can't help but just feel BEYOND EXCITED to see Quinn Hughes on our home ice.
My main concern is the Canucks not tanking. It sucks that Hughes is gone, that’s life. Move on and rebuild. I’m happy with what is coming back our way and the fan-base needs to stop with the whining. The players we got are solid with massive upsides. I’m actually cautiously optimistic about the team’s future.

The Canucks are 32nd in the league of 32 teams With Quinn Hughes on the roster. Its about time Canuck Management And Ownership have used the word "Rebuild" when discussing the future of the team! Hopefully this was just the first steps of many to improve the roster for future success. No More Mushy Middle.
Hughes might stay the Canucks' top leading defensemen in points for a long, long time.
The Hockey Guy is NOT giving the Canucks a grade of A- on this trade. 😂 My guess is, a D+ from the way he was talking about this trade. He’s definitely giving the Wild an A++. Not armed robbery, but blatant embezzlement.
