The Habs won this game by a score of 4-2, however, it’s the play of rookie goaltender Jacob Fowler that everybody is talking about this morning. Last night was the first game of his NHL career and lets just say he looked fantastic!

I dont think the issue was whether Fowler would be good. Anyone paying attention knows he is, the issue is whether we are rushing his development.
Out here in Vancouver, we’re feeling pretty jealous of that shitty little up and down thing they’re doing in Montreal. Fowler looked great.

MSL su#%s Arber has outplayed Carriere and Struble over the last month why is he sitting? Struble was being bailed out by Engstrom last night. The little Napoleon complex coach also had Gallagher on the ice in the last few minutes Fowler had to pull a Price and save the team from stupid coaching.
I am very happy for Jacob Fowler and his family that were there to watch him. He had easy first period but then got to show us what he is made of. Our boys were on their best behaviour defensively speaking. Jacob Fowler seems very calm, cool and collected.
The Pens having troubles in their D-zone sounds like they are having some std issues.

If your goalie has to be the first star to win a game. I think the D needs to get better…system change…or something.
Struble can play like a fucking peewee every god damn night but GOD FORBID Xhekaj takes a penalty for defending his teammates. My patience is getting thin for St-Louis. This and Veleno getting more ice time than Demidov.
Not in my habit to poke fun at youngish guys who are follically challenged but that hair dryer joke had me chuckling.

Pretty happy with the effort against the Penguins. Positives all around however a defensive lapse ruined Fowler's chance at a clean sheet but overall the team played better. The comeback goal by Kap on a laser pass from Slaf was filthy. That's the kind of response you want to see. I reckon Fowler earned the start in the Bell centre against the Rangers. Tanks HJ.
I say the same thing about Dobes that I’m going to say about Fowler. He’s earned the right to another night between the pipes. What’s the point of spreading them out. Play him until he gives up the crease. It’s his until he loses it. Fair enough for all involved.
We don't need a 2nd line centre anymore.
We need a top 6 forward to play with Caudield and Suzuki.
I say Kapanen earned his shot as 2C.

I've been saying for weeks that Matheson-Dobson sucks and Hutson needs to be with Dobson, and here we are with the results. About time Ti Louis. Dryden, Roy, Price and now Fowler with a first nhl win in Pitts. Price called Fowler before the game, dope shit. And Jarry got traded the day after, double dope shit. Habs def is lame when lefty D's are on the right side… Still waiting for Ti Louis admit that Reinbacher is required and that Struble and Engstrom can phoque off.

All things considered, I think it was pretty unfair to sit Doby in the stands and put Monty on the bench as backup. JaFo was outstanding though

Not a fan of BC Eagles. I'll say that as an NU alum. HOWEVER, watch his draft interview with the Habs. You'll learn a little bit about why I think this kid will grow into something really special. The years of never quite making that elite roster or travel team all adds up into what really makes a player a PLAYER. Watch out for this one!
