Tyler and Liam break down last night’s 4–3 overtime loss to the Buffalo Sabres — a chaotic night at Rogers Place that saw the Oilers fall behind 3–0 before storming back in dramatic fashion.
Edmonton’s third-period push was electric, capped off by Connor McDavid’s game-tying goal with under two seconds remaining, sending Oil Country into a frenzy. But the comeback hopes didn’t last long, as Alex Tuch was left all alone in overtime and buried the winner past Stuart Skinner.

Love the show, but microphone audio attention (please) – Liam (quiet) and Tyler’s audio (loud) are on opposite sides
So do we normally line up with no one on the blue line to start OT?
I saw that and hated it immediately. OT is about possession and with Leon taking the draw I feel like bouch should always line up on the blue line win it back and left McDri circle and creat space/lanes
Lazar is playing like Frederic should. Clatt and Lazar are half of Fredy's price and do much better than he does. Freddy just stands around like a pylon. Lazar has been way more noticeable than Fredy and if I was the Oilers, I'd give Freddy a vacation. See what the AHL rookies can do in the line up. In a couple months, bring Freddy back, see if he feels like playing good hockey, or he's still useless.. Eventually he'll either start playing or he'll want out.

I think Tyler is wrong about offside reviews for one reason. If you take away reviews, the deciding factor is now the linesman’s split second decision on if soemthing is offside or not. That sounds fine until you think about how a linesman might call one close call in a game but not another. Imagine the controversy that would cause if the same play got two different calls. We already hate that with penalties. The offside reviews are annoying 100% but they atleast add fairness to the calls. Both teams have the opportunity to play by the same rules because it can be reviewed, rather than one split second decision by a linesman that ca introduce unfairness. It’s annoying, but it’s fair
