how come we get tripped on a breakaway in front of the net and the refs dont notice, but as soon as the same thing happens to them, it magically becomes a penalty? and what about all the holding calls that the refs were oblivious to? or the interference? or the trips? or the straight up tackling behind the play and in the faceoff circle? refs clearly played favorites this game and it was obvious who they liked better
The lack of a good 1C is one of the problems. The D sucks. Canes have no set plays–in fact it seems no playbook at all. How could they get goalied (again) by a second-rate tender? One goal on 32 shots: it's getting to be a pattern. Aho is no 1C and no way is he captain material. He spends most of his time standing around, can't win 50% of his faceoffs, won't hit, won't get in front of the other team's net. Kochetkov was not the problem. Trades need to be made to get a big strong 1C and move Aho to 2C. Canes just looked old and tired.
