The Anze Kopitar Farewell Tour is still going strong…
22 seasons in the league…likely to pass 1500 games 1300+ points….not to mention a two Cup winner in 2012 and 2014…Selke Trophies in 2015-16 and 2017-18 and not to mention the three Lady Byng Trophies… More impressive it's with only ONE team the LA Kings…
I know that they'll have one huge hole to fill at 1C after he retires and I'm not expecting much out of the Kings playoff wise until that hole is filled…
I am praying that he signs a 1 day contract when his #11 is up in the rafters…but secretly hoping that Charlie Simmer's goes up there too to complete the Triple Crown line… I think the next two jerseys up after this will be #32 and #8…
I was at the Kings' visit to Nashville in October and the crowd gave Kopitar a nice ovation when they acknowledged that it would be his last game in Nashville. Love the way this sport shows respect to its own greats

Hockey is a unique sport , a great sport . We give a trophy to the most gentlemanly player each season . Yet during the game , they go into battle like an invading army . After the game , sportsmanship is number 1 .
I was at the game as a Hawks fan and was really happy to see the class that was shown after getting conpletely obliterated. Kopitar is one of the good ones.
Again another example of sportsmanship and class. Hockey players lead the way and we are taught this at a young age and at every level we play at. Real men can look their opponent in the eye and shake hands at the end of a game, season or career and congratulate them on a great game. No other sport shows the amount of respect to each other than hockey, I mean look two guy's ( who aren't Boxers) can have a tilt and shake hands afterwards. Classy sport we have and it's also self policed believe it or not. Stay Classy Hockey players around the world! No better sport on the planet!

Cool move by Chicago. Capitals did the same thing 4 days earlier but no video for them.
This is why hockey is the best.
Other sports don’t even look at each other after a series. It’s sad really.

Blackhawks are classy team. Good job and good look for all those boys. It's tough after a loss like that. You wouldn't see that in the NBA
