McCarthy is safe.. but I don’t want safe, I want to shoot for the stars 🌟. McCarthy will get us to 9-10 wins which is nice but we want more.

I'm not a huge fan of Mc Carthy, BUT no matter what experience he has or anyone else they decide on, you are only as good as the players that surround you , so if you are a SB winning coach an have shit players it doesn't matter how much knowledge you have or how many times you took a team to the play offs you will not win if most players do not have the desire and drive to play which is what i have been witnessing then that has to be addressed first…. that's the bottom line , so in spite of the new HC search they also need to evaluate each player an decide if they fit in our scheme or not , if not cut them loose there is no sense keeping a player if they simply do not want to be here that includes our pro bowl players………

No, we need a defensive coach. We need defense. We have the talent. We Jaxson is fine. If he has a defense that owns, he will feed off that.

I'm okay with McCarthy. I don't love him, but think he is the best available HC. He would be light years better than anything we've had since Coughlin. He got thrown into a weird mix with Dallas and had to deal with a VERY hands-on owner, so I don't begrudge him the lack of deep playoff dives while he was with Dallas. He knows how to manage a team and cultivate a culture. He could do well with Dart since he is still very young. I would put him slightly ahead of Tomlin just because of the greater success in the playoffs (Steelers fans bizarre hate for Tomlin not withstanding).
The best argument I've heard in favor of McCarthy is that he could be for the Giants what Tom Thibodeau was for the Knicks and honestly…I would absolutely take that
They absolutely have to get this right this time. McCarthy will turn the team around and win games. Maybe reestablish a winning culture with a bad ass defense and well rounded effective offence. Guess we shall see.

Giants fans expect management to hire some hot coordinator as the head coach and think we’ll be Super Bowl contenders in one season. How about hire a proven head coach so we can just start winning games in general? McCarthy fits the bill. This team hasn’t been a winning team in a long time.

Mistake
Hiring McCarthy would be another mistake. He won the bowl in Green Bay year one after taking over from Mike Holmgren much like Mike Tomlin did after taking over for Bill Cowher the next year. So what I’m saying is they won with the former coaches team. Aside from that, he like Tomlin have been unable to put together a championship level team. I’m not sold on McCarthy or Tomlin. I would prefer Chris Shula but realize he has no head coaching experience which I’m not sure at the end of the day will matter.
And I would add that he doesn’t hold players accountable. Just a yes man!
Not a very good idea. Keep Kafka as OC and assistant HC with an extension and a pay bump. He has proved that the is a great OC, and Dart Friendly, but he is not ready. , Rehire Wink for the defense and HC. Which one ends up as the true Head Coach lien towards Wink because I think we need an no bull ass kicking head coach.

In the past, I would've said no. I would've said let's take a chance on a hot shot coordinator that's been trending up and doing some winning on a contender. Like Shula. We did that with Brian Daboll in 2022. He helped Josh Allen become one of the greatest qbs I've ever seen, they did a lot of winning together, I understood it at the time.
Now, with how dire the stakes are for this team…I can't take a chance on a first time HC again. Not right now. The candidate would have to blow me away in every feasible area. This team has been terrible for a decade now. We can't afford to get this one wrong, you could essentially be dooming Dart's career if you get this wrong. You have the QB, or at least we think we do. He's on his rookie contract right now. This is the window of opportunity to build a competitive team. It goes by quick. McCarthy isn't a "WOW" pick, but he's a safer pick. He's also a good offensive mind and always has been. Has worked with 3 good to great qbs and all had great production in his offense. He's taken every team he's coached to the playoffs multiple times. His offenses have always been producers and highly ranked within the league whether it was with the Cowboys or Packers.
Idk about you guys but I can't sit here contemplating which candidate has a higher ceiling and who has the best chance of getting us to a SB, when this team has the worst record over the last 4 or 5 years. Putting the cart before the horse here in a massive way. We need to worry about COMPETING first. We need to worry about learning how to win first. We have to worry about being able to compete IN and WIN this incredibly tough division. You can't worry about going to a SB if you have no shot of winning in your division. The goal should always be to construct a roster to WIN the NFC East, GET to the playoffs, and then develop into a true contender. Winning the division is the #1 goal.
They can't get this wrong. It's gotta be someone who likes Dart, who can scheme an offense that maximizes his talents, who brings LEGITIMACY and a history of winning to the program. He's a SB champion, been to multiple conference championships, been to the playoffs nearly every year he's been a coach, had double digit wins with the Cowboys like 3 years in a row, despite the giant spotlight that's placed on anyone coaching the Cowboys and the drama that comes with working for Jerry Jones. He doesn't wow me as a person or a coach, but I TRUST that he can turn this team around and get them to start winning games again, because he's done it everywhere he's coached. There is no young hotshot, Ben Johnson like hire on the market right now. Wish there was. In that scenario, I'm not gonna be mad about going with a safe pick. If I'm going to go with a coordinator/first time HC, he has to have a sustained record of success in the team he's coming from. It can't be like one REALLY good year(Like Kubiak), because consistency matters a great deal in this league and guys who can have consistent success set themselves apart from everyone else in the NFL.

The Giants need to first, hire a president of football operations. Mara doesn't have a good track record at hiring a coach and he shouldn't leave it up to Scheon. Then that guy could hire the coach.
I would like to see him working with Jaxson Dart. I think he would be a good mentor for him.
Marra, will give "☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️="McCarthy" a real chance of coaching the Gee Men over (TOMLIN.) The Brother, unfortunately! I think might be a better motivator and is Heathier! That should be a hiring factor. McCarthy's has had some health issues.
