Man this team is SPECIAL!!! I told Jim Johnson at my job. WE ARE GOING TO THE PLAYOFFS!!!
Love the podcast too man. Keep it going!! I’ll be here all season 💯
I agree, great podcast and takes.
We were on a hot streak, it happens and the vets are great for our younger talent to grow with.
We’re special this year, and I’m so glad to see the shared opinion on the show!!
Jansen, Frank, and Rosco should not be changed. In terms of 4th lines go, that’s a f#@kin powerhouse nightmare of a line. Adjust all other lines but those animals need to be locked in. Originally I didn’t think Frank was a fourth line player but I see it now.
I'm guessing it is a mix. I'm very happy everyone is back, and healthy, but to say bumping those who were helping to win doesn't crush chemistry and demoralizes those bumped down for vets clearly is going to cause problems. For it to be solved the vets need to work harder than they've ever worked in their lives. I love the old guys, but self awareness of being in the young guys skates.
This will bite the Ducks in the ass. For instance Mintyukov an incredible player imo. He's there to throw down once the tougher guys retire, because Lacombe, and Zelly simply can't fight. So that people like Beckett and Carlson stay on the ice and aren't harassed (potentially hurt) you need amazing talents like Minty. Zelly and Minty's contracts end is year. They are going to lose their future if they don't balance this better. Plus, the young guys were winning. Results matter.
Helping. I think that benching Mintyukov and getting Gudas back suddenly fixed the defensive issues the Ducks were having.
