New York Giants news & rumors turn to the Giants head coaching search. ESPN’s Adam Schefter has reported that the Giants head coach job should be attractive to potential candidates. As of now, the Tennessee Titans are the only other team with a head coach opening, but teams such as the Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Las Vegas Raiders, and Miami Dolphins may move on from their head coach. Giants general manager Joe Schoen will be tasked with selling candidates on working with players such as Jaxson Dart, Malik Nabers, Cam Skattebo, Brian Burns, Andrew Thomas, and others. OMG, could you imagine if Sean McDermott got fired? That seems insane to me but I'd GLADLY hire him.
I'd love to hire Chris Shula the most. However, my number two is Mike McCarthy. I dont think he's a sexy pick but I do think he's a true HC who wins. Clint Kubiak is my number 3. Jesse Minter is my number 4.

Why is everyone so in on Tomlin if he's available? I like Mike Tomlin for sure, but while he's never had a losing season, he also hasn't won a playoff game in over 8 years. He's 8-11 in post season, with all the wins in 4 seasons. His post season performance is sub par. And they had talented rosters. Don't get me wrong, he'd bring experience, a culture change, and would certainly be an upgrade over what we've had (anything is), but I'm not sold on him being the slam dunk automatic everyone says. Maybe I'm wrong, idk. I wouldn't dislike having him for sure, but I don't see why we'd be on our knees begging for him either.

I would love Chris Shula as our next head coach. I would hope he brings an offensive mind from the McVay coaching tree with him. Klint Kubiak would be an amazing possibility as well. I just hope that whoever they choose they get it right!!!

I hate to be a Debbie downer, but I've been watching the giant since 1980. They destroyed Eli's final years. And then they destroyed Daniel Jones giant career. If they hire a coordinator they will just continue the losing.You have to bring in and established winning head coach. .OUT

Out of the 5 HC candidates you mentioned here is my list in order of preference. 1) Mike McCarthy, he's a winning HC (176-114-2) 62 games above .500. He can develop Dart. He brings cred to the locker room.
2) Chris Shula, if he's been hanging around McVay since College and McVay says he will be a great HC that's good enough for me. Plus the Rams have an excellent defense so the proof is there.
3)Klint Kubiak, as Shula he comes from a football background. He's doing a great job with Darnold. Seahawks have a very good offense. He would be an asset for Dart's develop and would McCathy.
4 and 4a) Minter and Hafley.
Coaches I'm dead set against are 1) Anarumo. 2) Pierce. 3) Spagnola. Pierce and Spags were awful as HC. Spags more than Pierce. Anarumo good DC but can we trust him to bring in a great OC to develop Dart?
One last word. IMO it would be better to have a HC be on the offensive side of the ball, because if the OC under a defensive HC excels then he will be looking for a HC position in 2 years, maybe 1.
