The best thing for the Leafs is to finish dead last and get some draft picks. Its pointless to do anything else. Leafs fans last year screamed to blow up the core 4 in order to get to the next level. I said that would be a huge mistake. I was right. The Leafs should never have traded away allllllll their high draft picks year after year on renatl players who are not worth a 1st. I have already checked out of this season and have stopped watching games and am looking forward to baseball next spring.

I think its hard to blame Injuries for losses now a day Tampa has played like 5 to 7 games without their top 2 D a game where they we missing 3D and have had stretches without 2/3rds of ther 2nd line and both Point and Kucherov left the game they played today early and the Lightning have still won against the Panthers, Oilers, New Jersey, and the Caps
The whole pressure argument is so invalid. Pressure is built through winning and having pressure to maintain that level. The leafs don't win anything. So there's no pressure, what there is, is an expectation to at least try.
It makes me laugh, thinking a trade is gonna fix this team, but that’s just your excuse again with excuses injuries now lol. Steve, I know that you're speaking from a Canadian POV, but when it comes to your comment about the NHL being a "small blip" in NA, I don't think you truly realize how much more the game has grown over the past decade across the States, Europe, Australia, and even Latin America (I'm Mexican-American myself)! We have started to see the new generation of NHL players be recognized/discussed much more and be more open themselves compared to the previous generation where it was basically just Crosby, Ovechkin, and for us Americans, Patrick Kane, who were known amongst casuals. Yes, it's not quite at the level you wish they were at yet, but they aren't a "small blip" anymore. The upcoming Olympics should only continue to help with that.
There's this weird sentiment amongst a portion Canadian fans and media I've noticed that always tries to punch down on the NHL and paints the picture that Americans don't care and it's not their game, but that is simply ignorant and only hurts one's credibility and only stifles the growth of the game. I wish you would just stop with those types of comments on both LFRs and the podcasts.
The only time i watch Steve Dangle is when the Leafs lose so i can enjoy watching him lose his marbles 😂🤣

As a Jets fan, we have had about 5 major injuries from 4 to 6 weeks and 1 that was months. We always been given the time frame and they have been accurate. Don't know why leaf org doesn't do the same.
