Boring hockey and not only the Oilers, the nhl has to get rid of these dump and chase coaches and get some creative coaches at the helm. Maybe a european guy.
it must be exhausting tending the goal in front of this 5v5 team and this defense, and it must be exhausting playing offense and defense in front of this goaltending. chat are we stuck in a vicious cycle

I stopped watching this team since the embarrassment loss to Colorado. Until they win a 3-4 streak, I'll jump back on the bandwagon to watch them again. Just not worth my energy to watch this boring and lazy ass team. But I'll still follow the scores and the news/rumors

Man the Gameboy SP was a fantastic gaming system. Great battery life, compact, and could play the original Gameboy games….loved that deep cut.

Bowman needs to be fired immediately. He’s an SA apologist, he refuses to address our goaltending, he gave Trent Frederic a fucking NMC. The list goes on and on! Worst GM in the NHL.
This is why I barely watch games anymore. I have watched a couple games ever since the season started. Same BS every year. They are trash in October and November, December. Maybe will improve in the new year but I don't have high hopes they can make it to the finals again. Mark my words.
May get killed for this but this is the best roster in the McDavid Era. Knob is the problem here. We need a coach that isn't terrified of his team scoring goals. Panthers turned Knob into a sad combination of Sutter,Tippet and Mike Yeo

I was playing coed masters 40 plus ball hockey during the game. Had a nice Paul Coffeyesque end to end goal. Team still lost. 🙁
I am not an Oilers fan but my observationns: time have no motivation or drive, goaltending and defense is suspect, and every team has fatigue ( that is just an excuse). This team is in trouble.
The coach has completely nurtured this team , he doesn't like physical hockey. If he would let men be men they would play better . His whole game plan is play McD and dry that's it

just listened to your after match podcast and I too am frustrated as are many of my Oiler buddies but I'm just wondering after going to two Stanley Cup finals have they hit a brick wall mentality ,like so many other sporting teams whether it be soccer or tennis or whatever the sport to come so close and yet to fail not just once but twice that alone must take everything out of the dressing room to loose players like Perry and Kane characters must be huge . In cases like that you need an amazing coach someone with charisma , personality ,strength , fight and hockey intelligence I ask you do we have that ?

You talk about Knobby a lot and what he is doing I ask you do you really believe he is running the dressing room with two players like Conor and Leon in it . Yes Conor left a lot of money on the table but I'm sure Conor plays with players and systems that suits him so if they play 23 minutes each game I'm sure that's their choice . Everyone and the cat knows the goal keeping is and has been a joke for a long time now is that nepotism ie the rumours about the previous goal coach was related to the owner anyways our coal keepers are not NHL standard , when you look at other young new goal keepers we have been playing against they are playing "lights out" . Then we have the comedy of errors Nurse,Skinner , Bouchard and now Pickard apart from Pickard are the other three even at the games I've been to games watched them and honestly the three of them are somewhere else and when the three of them are in that mode forget about winning a hockey as I said hockey intelligence . I have to go and work out but again I ask have they hit a brick wall and I'd love to know who runs the dressing room and is it nepotism

Nurse just plays for the paycheck, he isn’t interested in winning. He isn’t a leader in the room cause nobody listens to him. I prefer Troy Stecher over him. Just sit him until he waives the NMC and send him to the AHL, then get a 1M LHD and it will be better.

I've decided to care about as much as they seem to care. Which is almost zero? If this season is a wash let's really tank for the top pick. And let's sit all the players we want to get rid of (Nurse) for the rest of the season until they demand a trade or retire. I almost thought this team had a winner culture, but that was obviously an illusion or it was all the Perry effect?
Hilarious to think Perry might indeed go to another final, since the Kings are actually playing well.
Last thought – Knoblauch is failing but now we have to look higher up the admin chart to ask WTF. Jeff Jackson is looking super incompetent right now having basically caused the Bowman-Arvidsson-Skinner-Holloway-Broberg-Knoblauch disaster chain. Jeff Jackson should be fired, and Katz should probably sell the team to someone who knows where to find a competent President and GM. I would definitely tap Keith Gretzky now. Could he really be worse than Bowman who basically made 1? 2? Interesting moves, the rest have been flops, and his failure to get a goalie with all the ones that he could have gone after is a huge indictment. OK, end of sermon.

Nurse is just a terrible hockey player and i have said this for years. He is killing the team with his 10 mil contract and no show almost every game. He peaked in world Jrs before he reached the nhl. I was a fan of his before he became an Oiler but since he has been an oiler his hockey sense has degraded drastically over the years.
You think McDavid is rethinking that hometown discount? I think the oilers need a goaltender like Ukko Pekka Luukonen. Could trade him for McJesus and maybe a 6th 😊
Nobody freak out! There's a plan in place apparently, why there has been no hitting. The real season starts come playoffs. Just enjoy the ride…That doesn't mean we don't need pieces. 😎
