I’m so happy bc as a diehard Bruins fan my entire life, I kept sticking up for them. They had one bad year and were in need of a retool.
I had a gut feeling that the guys on the team would want to prove themselves, and with the roster we have, if everyone plays their game within a good defensive structure they would be okay if not good.
The number of people that got EXTREMELY angry at me for saying that was insane, literally people told me to unalive myself they were so mad.
So I saved those comments just in case and last night I went back and responded to all the haters one at a time with “you were saying…😉”

One difference from last season that you didn't mention was the team having a healthy Hampus Lindholm. He's been playing like a man possessed since coming back from his injury.
Not really confusing. They lost a lot of those games by 1 goal. It felt like they were close to figuring it out. And gave the best team in the league their only regulation loss before the streak. Whats crazy is Marchand being the best Panther right now . Imagine if we still had him..

I think most of the fanbase has done a 180 on Zaddy: from despising to loving. It did surprise me that he's now the Bruins' PA rep (Carlo was before he was traded); so clearly the players trust him in said quieter leadership role.
Let's go Bruins! Still lot's of season left! For sure they will win more and certainly lose some. I hope they can stay as a positive record.

Bruins fan, WHY would you EVER root for your team to tank and lose?! The NHL has a draft lottery where even if you miss the playoffs by 1-2 games like the Islanders last season you can STILL get the #1 overall pick, and even if you do who's to say that pick will be any good especially if your team has bad scouts? Besides, you can be like the Sabres and tank for 10+ seasons and still end up being a crappy team. If you root for a losing culture you're gonna get stuck with one.
I find that I enjoy watching this version of our Bruins much more than in years past. The young guys are being given an opportunity and they are rising to the occasion, and the proven players, not called Pasta are playing at a consistent level.

There are ‘fans’ and there are fans.
‘Fans’ are the ones who look at every opportunity, to make sure their team sucks so badly they “get the young stud” what these ‘fans’ don’t realize. To get there. You’ll have to trade away all of your good talent, to tank that badly. Which. In Boston’s case. Pasta, Hampus, McAvoy, Geekie, Zadorov…and probably a couple other hardnosed players who won’t lose willingly. Which would completely erase the whole reason why you tank for top picks.
Fans. Take whatever they are given. We want to see our team come out on top, every night. We get mad when we lose, but understand…can’t win them all, as nice as that would be. This will likely cost us ‘good’ draft picks, but. You hope that management is smart and does what’s right, to ensure a Winning Culture.
All this to say. I don’t like Sweeney, BUT. If we can get a 2nd seat in the Atlantic for Playoffs, and make it to the Conference Finals. I’ll be more than happy. This team we have is a mix of young and veteran. You love to see it. Had to lose Brad to get here, but. He won the Cup. That’s what I wanted for him. He deserved it, just wish it could have been in Bergy’s last season.
It's a bad thing. We needed one more good draft year.
