The Carolina Hurricanes have added another player to their training camp roster, signing forward Kevin Labanc to a professional tryout. Labanc, a 29-year-old right-handed winger, has played 9 NHL seasons and amassed 237 points in 512 games. He was originally drafted by the San Jose Sharks in 2014 and has also played for the New Jersey Devils and Columbus Blue Jackets.
The signing of Labanc to a PTO is the latest move by the Hurricanes as they prepare for the upcoming season. The team has also signed forward Givani Smith and defenseman Oliver Kylington to PTOs.
Labanc will be looking to earn a spot on the Hurricanes’ roster and play his 10th NHL season. With his experience and skill, he could be a valuable addition to the team.
