The Montreal Canadiens pulled off a gutsy 4–3 comeback win over the Vancouver Canucks thanks to a breakout performance from Ivan Demidov, who recorded his first NHL three-point night with a goal and two assists.
Vancouver jumped out to an early lead with goals from Elias Pettersson and Conor Garland, but Montreal clawed their way back with strong special teams play — going 2-for-3 on the power play. Juraj Slafkovsky had a big night as well, picking up a goal and an assist, while Mike Matheson scored the game-winner in the third.
Nick Suzuki extended his point streak to nine games, and the Canadiens’ resilience was on full display, outworking the Canucks in the second half of the game. Pettersson finished with three points for Vancouver, but it wasn’t enough as Montreal tightened up defensively down the stretch and secured another road win.

I’m telling you right now that opposing coaches are going to go crazy trying to match up against Montreal. Take away the forwards, Matheson, Hutson and Dobson will kill you. Focus on defence and the skill of our forwards will kill you. Which line does your top defensive duo go against? Probably Suzuki but, heck, even Newhook has got 7 points in 10 games on line 2. Dach looked strong tonight. If he gets going with Bolduc, the Habs are going to crush it. We have lost one of our best Defenceman and the team hardly misses a beat.

Wouldn't mind the 2 goalie setup, since it's proven fair last season for them. But man Monty is really pulling their legs right now. He needs to lock in or he'll lose all the credibility in favor of Dobes. It's already starting to shift right now, people are not stupid. Sure, you can say that the Oilers game was a fluke, but he was shaky all his other appearances even on his winning games.
Montreal looks so dangerous in the O zone, such a treat to watch. If only they could limit some of their tiny defensive gaffes(looking at you, Sheriff) they'd be unbeatable. On a sidenote: on the PK, I'm surprised Montreal doesn't force the issue with the puck carrier at the blueline, or along the high wall. When they do, the powerplay off the other team falls apart, due to the Habs speed and ice IQ. They go into the tried and true box formation, and seem content to try to block shots or clear lanes. Habs would probably get a ton of shorthanded goals. Just my opinion
Hey Whiskey, I’ve noticed in the past videos a funny thing about your french, when you say « Attaquants » at 3:00, you shouldn’t pronounce both T’s, only one, so it sounds like « Ataquants », but is spelled with two T’s. I enjoy the fact you use french, just wanted to let you know. Doubt you will see this but we never know!

For your idea of video, you could maybe do a video on the stat of the Canadien and do a comparaison with other great team like Penguins in 2016 or blackhawks in 2015.

I agree with you, people are a little panicky about the officials. But having said that, with all the legal gambling going on, I think it's only prudent for the NHL to have something like European football has where certain plays, including officials' calls can be flagged for investigation. It only makes sense and that was borderline suspicious in Edmonton. And if it wasn't suspicious, it was at least ridiculous.
