If Tom Wilson is wearing any other jersey, the league doesn't even give the play a second look. The targeting Wilson for clean plays is out of control.
Yea the boys weren’t very sharp early in this game. A lot of mishandled pucks either caused turnovers and Canucks scoring chances or stopped good scoring opportunities of our own.
Tough games for Protas and Carlson in that regard but I thought Lapierre and Leonard were quite good.
The only scrutiny Tom should be under is by team Canada Olympic team. Speed, power, skill, leadership and intimidation, what a skill set!
At least the NHL had the common sense to not impose any punitive action on Wilson. Sure it was a little late, but it was clean no matter how hard he hit the guy, and there was really no way he could’ve stopped himself. Sidenote this was easily Lapierre’s best game of the season thus far. Plz keep Leonard on PP1.
The slow start burnt us in this one, tough 1st but they battled back and made a game of it, although they lost great characteristics never giving up. Good non call on Wilson's hit by the refs I think they got that right! Hopefully they come out ready to play a full 60 next game
