  1. isnt it crazy how the oilers have 2 of the top 5 dmen on there team …. top 5 worst lmao no one from oilers d core better make team canada unless its stick boy

  2. It's like Bouch saw Skinner's confidence growing and him finding his game and was like "I need to take him down a couple pegs"

  3. This is the risk with purely offensive defensemen, the second they don’t produce offensively you only see why they are called offensive and not simply a defenseman.

Same thing with purely defensive forwards or defensemen.

Two ways are the trophy winners most of the time for a reason, unfortunately for the Selke.

  4. Only the oilers players get hated on this quickly for one bad game it’s pathetic how badly everyone in the league wants to see them lose Bouchard it top 3 in the league don’t forget that these plays might now always work but these are the plays that got us to the finals 2 years in a row there’s a reason your cheering for the oilers when ur team is golfing

  5. Bouchard is not a Dman.
He is a rover and unlike Coffey … Evan isn't a speed skater and-or knows how to play D.

    Great example…

The goal everyone blames on Skinner against the Flames was actually Bouchard fault for not covering the man.

  6. People who don't watch him bash Quinn Hughes for his defensive play, which since season 3, has been solid. Bouchard is perhaps as good offensively as Quinn (though that's debatable), but he's like his mentor, Paul Coffey – he's a misadventure at best defensively. I admire his offensive play, but I don't know if I'd want him on Team Canada. We're not talking about a 7 game series where you can recover from the odd screw up. One blunder and you could be eliminated. I'd rather have guys on that team who are responsible in their own end. Again, I'll go back to Hughes. He's going to be on Team USA, and that makes them pretty scary. Quinn is unlikely to make a glaring error that leads to a goal. Stick to guys who are responsible 2 way players. Barkov will be playing in the tournament as well. He's an excellent 2 way forward.

  7. He's a liability. He can make 9 elite plays but the 1 awful play costs you goals & games something u can't afford in best on best tournaments

  8. No need for Bouchard on the pp when you have Makar. If Bouch isn't your pp guy, he 's not on the team. This from an Oilers fan.

  9. Bouchard wouldn't be on my team Canada if he was having a good season. There's at least 10 guys better. Who would take him over Schaefer at this point?

  10. He can be a deficit on defense, overpaid, overrated because of what he's done in the playoffs, let's see if he can deliver the offense without becoming a drag on defense.

  11. I never liked Bouchard but the game of hockey involves mistakes. Just remember he is the one playing in the NHL and you guys are beer leaguers at best. To have a whole segment of roasting Bouchard is a bit harsh. And this is coming from a Canucks fan.

  12. The Oil are my #2 fave team since inception in '72 – -( GoUtahGo ) – – imo, E Bouchard is not close to qualified to make the Canadian Olympic roster. R-shot R-side Dman ? For me, EB would rate about 6th, 7th on Rside D for the Canadian team. He would qualify for the B team (Olympics-wise) imo. That is no insult but a compliment to the player because EB is certainly a good and/or very very good Dman.

  13. It pisses me off when people rank Bouchard above Harley in defensemen… I know Bouchard has more offense but Harley is right there with him (ahead with more than ppg so far this season, actually) and doesn't make the same brainless defensive plays that Bouchard does.

  14. He’s not even 8 for me. For the role he would need to fill. Bottom 6 guy who gets D zone draws. He’s not it. Weegar would be the 8 for me

  15. Stick to the game plan. If things are not going well, don't deviate. Unless you're a superstar who can improvise, making 'different plays' only makes it worse. Team Canada needs players who can consistently perform at a high level. Hard no for Bouchard.

  16. Clearly, Bouchard’s turnover syndrome, paired with effortless D, is a respiratory thing … and it’s affecting the whole team, except Stu and Pickard. The only hope now is a quick return of Hyman.

  17. He's not that good. He feeds good players. Look at guys like Hughes, Makar, Hutson. Amazing skaters/player makers, Put up points. 10 million is too much for this guy. Despite McDavid trying to dial it in with his contract, in what world can can you justify paying Nurse and Bouch that money.. I edit to mention Bouch makes only 2 mill less then McDavid. What the actual fuk

  18. Oilers love to put him up there with Makar and Hughes and the other superstar defensemen and use numbers to do so, but NONE of those guys go controller disconnected like that. They all care WAY too much about winning to bail on plays. Even back in the day when Hughes wasnt good defensively yet he didnt get beat because he decided not to try, its because he was too small and got outmuscled. Bouchard has no excuse, Pronger on HNIC was right when he said the guy needs to show he can play SOME defense.
