Nik, I agree with pretty much everything you've said about the 81 deal. The smart move is to pivot off, but of course the Jets don't do smart.
I'll keep saying until I'm blue in the face, you can't pay Kyle Connor anything close to Connor McDavid.
If the Jets sign him to 8-year deal for north of 12 the Jets will sign away their chances at a Stanley Cup. I hope I'm wrong, but I entirely view the Jets having the best chance of winning in the next 5 years if they trade Connor.
