Panarin makes $11 million a year and hasn't made an impact in the playoffs. GET RID OF HIM!!
I love Artemi, but he does not produce in the playoffs. Once time and space gets compressed, his game doesn't work. He's not worth another huge contract simply based on that. Do everything you can as an organization to make a play for McJesus. And if you can't get him, the money you free up can be used for other FAs. You're not going to win a cup with Artemi as your best player so figure out how to move on.

How funny would it be if Panarin refused hometown discount in NY, and then signs a contract-friendly agreement to play in Minny. Hahaha

I love Panarin, he's still a top player but it's sounding like it's time to move off him if he's unwilling to sign for less, never say never, he did leave money on the table to come here. I think what's going to play out is if the Rangers are successful this season he'll take a discount to stay, if they're middle of the pack or lower he'll hit free agency and get overpaid by another club. Let the Wild have him, see what they can do with 2 soft superstars
Take a draft pick[s] for NDA Panarin so as not to screw up the cap. Throw in Borgen too if the Wild will have him. Bring Gabe Perrault & Scott Morrow. Rangers are in the process of burning year 2 of Perrault's contract.

Panarin's production dropped by 40 pts last year. Also, didnt like his post game vodka binges with Reavo. Maybe his injuries are vodka "related'. He has these episodes of undisclosed injuries every year at least once. I have NEVER seen him get hurt on the ice, yet.
