Overpay for Hughes
Good deal for Lacombe
The Minnesota Wild never learn. Still paying off the Suter/Parise contracts, and they destroy the franchise some more.
The Wild are owned by a conman, run by an incompetent alcoholic moron cosplaying as GM, haven't been relevant in 25 years, and won't be relevant for 25 more.
looking at preseason so far, going into the season, the lines should be……
Line 1… Yurov-Rossi-Kaprizov
Line 2… Haight-Ek-Tarasenko
Line 3… Foligno-Hartman-Boldy
Line 4… Aube-Kubel-Bankier-Jones
D1… Faber-Lambos
D2… Spacek-Gleason
D3… Spurgeon-Middleton
Kaprizov is a bum.
1. He hasn't earned a raise
But…
2. It's sports so he will get one anyway
However…
3. He isn't better than anyone who makes 12M or more currently
So…
4. 4-5 years at 11½M per should've been the opening offer to him
However…
5. The Wild are run by an incompetent alcoholic moron cosplaying as GM who has no idea how to talent evaluate
So…
6. Kaprizov was offered way more than he deserves, and he foolishly turned it down
Even though…
7. He has never won anything, keeps failing in the first round, and is now injury prone
Gustavsson is mediocre. It's going to be a disaster pretending he's a #1
Lambos and Spacek have been the best defenseman in preseason. Guerin, the incompetent alcoholic moron cosplaying as GM, fucked the franchise again. Dude hates winning.
When it comes to prospect rankings for this failed franchise…
Yurov at center, he is #2 behind Lambos
Yurov at wing, he is the #1 prospect
Kumpulainen at 3
Spacek at 4
Wild have such a terrible prospect pool. Brackett has been a complete failure.
I will make my own list. Won't change much from last year.
Buium still looks dreadful. Bedard doesn't burn anyone, but he burned Buium 3 or 4 times. Zeev has looked lost with the puck. He has looked worse without it. Positioning is still a problem. Inability to play any defense at all is a problem. Too chickenshit to shoot is a problem. He's just really really bad.
Jiricek is pathetic and a AHL lifer.
Öhgren is pathetic. You guys, especially Hoppy, couldn't blow him enough over his stupid workouts. Chicago was ragdolling him. Liam blows.
Bankier looked quite good in his preseason games.
Appalling Aube-Kubel was waived. He was the best forward so far in preseason.
Appalling Gleason was waived. Besides Lambos and Spacek, he has been the best defenseman.
I was finally able to block that no-mind clueless 🤡 that spams your comment sections with his nonsensical moronic takes that confirm he never played hockey and has no clue what he is watching. Glorious day.
McJesus signed a 2-year deal @ $12.5M per.
Thoughts?
