  1. As a bruins fan I agree they are being completely underrated. Everything that went wrong did last year. We will be better.

  2. I hope for Marco Sturm's sake that they can turn some heads, but no playoffs. 80,5 is crazy low tho. Give me the over.

  3. Bruins is going to be hard opponent, but they need couple more guys to produce (from inside team or from trades).

Definitely most underrated team before season at many places, but lets just see where they end up.

  4. One injury to Pasta and they are competing for a last place team. With Pasta the ceiling seems like a low tier mediocre. 7th or 8th in the division depending if Buffalo can do anything.

  5. Swayman revenge tour. 3rd, over. Hot start of 9-3-1 in October or something parlays into a decently ok season and the teams trying to catch them get injured through the year.
Plus a couple young guys have breakout seasons and provide some much needed scoring depth (Poitras, Khutsnidinov, Minten)
Also Sean Kuraly is better than people give him credit for

  6. When evaluating Lindholm's 40 goal season, you need to consider he spent most of his ice time paired up with Johnny Hockey in his best season. And sometimes with Tkachuk on his other wing.. and yet was over 20 points behind the latter. (and additional 10 behind Johnny!)

  7. Don’t forget, E. Lindholm was nursing a back injury that only fully healed in the final two months of the season. The team essentially lost their #1 and #2 defensemen, had a mentally checked-out starting goalie, and a limping top center — all while purposely sending down their top two prospects after the trade deadline to double down on the tank.

  8. Pp will be better Defense will be better swayman will be better this team gets into playoffs.

  9. I'm watching this after the Bs had a great game against the Rangers with deoth scoring and very solid goaltending……I know in my Bs fan heart that I am getting burned again this season 😭

  10. Jesse is right. They should fire Sweeney and Neely as a long time bruin fan they have made terrible decisions especially over the last 3 seasons, they didn't need to get rid of ullmark ,they had the cap space for both ullmark and swayman , and Monty was a great coach and he took St Louis to the playoffs

  11. I’m convinced that you guys don’t even look at the rosters before making these. Yes they have Pasta, Lindholm, McAvoy and have Swayman who is primed for a bounce back, but the rest of this roster is Sharks/Hawks tier bad

  12. I dont see them making the playoffs as a Bruins fan. They just dont have depth. They barely even have a top line. Id argue they have even worse depth than they did when they lost to Carolina in the 1st round with only the perfection line of Bergeron Marchand and Pastrnak along with Swayman being the sole things keeping them competitive. Pasta might hit like 35-40 goals but Id be shocked if anyone else gets above 20.

If the front office wants to be serious they'll look at this year as another retooling year and a development year for the youth. They dont really have anything to sell at the deadline and frankly the Atlantic is too stacked for Boston to likely get in the playoffs. Even via the wildcard unless some of the other wildcard candidates get crippled with injuries or guys who just suddenly underperform. And for the love of God sweeney don't trade away any more picks for a washed 35 year old who wont even be on the team next year.
