Odd they didn't just plug Kampf in at 4C and leave Roy at 3C. Domi is a winger not a center.

They still wear out the rest of the Team making up what these 2 can't do on the Ice.

My thoughts? looks like just throwing out a team to meet a sub standard team, very hard to tell just what they are thinking. I am certain that at least 4 players dont make opening night.

I get that it's pre season and coach Berube is trying new things, but this line up downright stinks.
McMann – Domi – Robertson had some success for a 10 game span last season. Why not create a 3A and 3B line.
Knies – Matthews – Maccelli
Cowan – Tavares – Nylander
Joshua – Roy – Lorentz
McMann – Domi – Robertson

This is what the lines look like if a center goes down. Kampf is on the wing as a filler. Domi is the only option with the lineup they plan on having. If JT or Matthews goes down, Domi comes 2C.
This doesn’t scramble the lines much at all. Kampf will be 4th line C to plug in for Laughton. Everything else will look the same as the game against Detroit.
I think making Domi a 3rd line center rather than a first line right wing. I think Domi is going to be better in this slot. Second line looks pretty solid . We're missing some key players from last year and after watching that last game against the redwings it really showed. So im hoping we're going to see some guys step up . We need someone that can do what Marner was doing and I hope that player shows up .
It's not shocking if useless Domi plays on 3rd line. Maccelli should be on the 1st line instead.
well needless to say this is a head scratcher….. I'm ok with the non-playing group, it's only practice. The line up for the Detroit game is fine…..guys still have a chance for a call up later on. All good.
