Well, The Athletic might be right, ofc. Tbh, I dont mind us finishing as nr 32. I am not ownership, and very selfish and unrealistic. I strongly believe this core is cooked. Preds need a full rebuild. Get some cash for Forsberg while we can. He deserves to play for a contender. Keep Josi, thats about it.
He is a gent and a Pred to the bone, he wants the best for this franchise. I dont trust his judgement regarding his health, though. He has taken too many concussions allready, he shouldnt be playing hockey anymore. The human brain is much more fragile than the leadership of pro sports are willing to accept. And the players will play until you stop them, like Josi they are loyal soldiers to their unit.
See how war-torn veterans from the armed forces are treated.. would you say the NHL treat their players much better. So thats Josi to me.
This franchise is dependant on #1 Saros #2 Josi #3 Forsberg. 2 of them, at least one, should be shipped while there is some value in it. One should retire. So to me, to conclude, the premises are false. I get it, our market is vulnerable and our owners need to make money. But my take on it is that this franchise is in rebuild mode. And I havent even started on how effecient Barry is as a GM.
Wtf man. One horrible season in a decade and some fans have such hate. What is the point of being a fan if u are all doom and gloom. Yeah we dont know for sure. But we have a good team and tons of young bolls ready to killit. We will be an 88-100 point team this year. 78 is ridiculous…
I gotta bounce. I cant stand all the negativity. This year will be a contending team. Maybe not SCF. BUT dallas so much better? Give me a break. Ill check back monday.
My hopes are high!!!!! My expectations are…how did Emma put it?? "Sure" that's what expectations are. IF this team manages to squeek into the playoffs, it's as a WC2 and series is over in 5. I think we'll take a step forward…and that's it. 1 step from the bottom is progress indeed, but not really "there". I could be wrong. We'll see. I'll still faithfully cheer and watch the games. But yeah. "Sure" that's where I am.
