Theres a team that had cup asperations and everyone was high on but also just barely missed the playoffs. They then went on to win the cup the next season. That team was Vegas.
The fact that Boeser garland demko all chose to re sign here tells me they have faith in the group, coaches and management.
Maybe, if injuries happen again it will basically derail everything

Second is very optimistic but I like your way of thinking! I’ll be happy if we make it in as the second wild card spot. Just get back into the playoffs, have a quiet and healthy season and it would make my year. Excited for the new series!
3rd in the division, 2nd round playoff exit, calling it now
Chytil looked great vs Calgary, very skilled and dangerous. Pettey has bulked up and put on muscle in the off season and his injuries have resolved. Demko as well, both are monster players who can make a huge difference.

I see the Canucks likely to finish below third in their division and thus will qualify for a playoff spot via a wildcard spot should they finish high enough in the same division but also above at least eight teams in their own conference.

I am sure going to make playoffs. All depends on Peterson. But havong Demko in his form sure giving Canucks best chance. For Hughes this Captain owes us nothing and team owes his players everything. Happy he is still with us. Go Canucks Go!!!
I think the Quinn talk shouldn’t be a distraction. I hate that media even bring it up. If he says “yes I’m staying no matter what” he puts himself in a corner during contract talks.

If you are going to be positive, the way to look at the second line center spot is that the Canucks couldn't get anyone better than Chityl. Petey is going to get 110 points, Demko is going to get 40plus wins and a Vezina Trophy, Hughes another Norris and the Canucks are going to go to at least the Conference final.

They should definitely be able to make the playoffs, but I think the only way they win the cup is through a hard carry by Demko. They don't have the offensive guns to match a borderline all star team like Florida, who I expect to win the cup again after those team friendly signings. All that being said, I expect this to be a good year and am counting down the days to opening night.
