How accurate are these predictions anyway? At the end of the season I forget what the projections were
We are still going to have issues. Our Defense was terrible in their own end and will be just as bad this year.
I agree with the predicted point total for the Islanders. They should be about a .500 team. I disagree that they’ll have less points than the Penguins though. The Islanders could be a playoff bubble team if everything goes perfectly for them and they stay healthy.
I’m fine with them stinking. Sell at the deadline, get another high pick and load up even more on the prospects. The absolute ceiling this year is a first round exit. I’d rather continue building for later down the line and become actual contenders.
I know these predictors are weighing in on the Isles losing Nelson and Dobson. I don't think they are factoring in how all those injuries lowered the Isles point total last year. When a team loses 120 games JUST for injured starting defensemen, it's a sure bet that cost them a few wins. The Isles also lost Barzal for much of the season, which broke up their best scoring line. I have to believe a healthy Isles team finishes above 90 points last year. Losing Nelson hurts, but Drouin can make up much of that. We can thrive without Dobson. The guy is a puck fumbler and had 108 give aways in 71 games. No wonder he was minus 16.
IF Drouin, Tsyplakov, Engvall and George step it up next year, this team will have some depth and no problem making the playoffs and even winning a round.

Lets just point out the obvious.
Sea is above Cgy and Ana. By 10 points! That's absurd. Ana and cgy have better goaltending. Cgy may not make playoffs but last year they proved to be on the bubble. They still are so I don't see how SEA leapfrogs.
Central looks pretty spot on. I have WPG and STL missing playoffs Uth and Ana in as WC.
On to the east, yeah Pit is defenitly going to be a bottom team. NYI is not that bad. Got lucky getting the 1st pick but on paper. They can surprise us all. I don't have them in but a bubble team for sure. I even have CBJ making in as a WC. Not NYR.
Finnaly Mtl in last. What? I have them making the cup final lol.
These predictions do not seem very accurate at all. The central divison IMO is the most accurate.
