On Friday the Red Wings released their prospect games roster for next weekend in Dallas. Carter Bear, Michael Brandsegg-Nygard, Axel Sandin-Pellikka and Nate Danielson headline the roster as one of the best around the league. Meanwhile, Lombardi, Mazur, Augustine and Johansson are all absent from this season’s roster, much like last season. Are there any invites that caught our eye? #LGRW

Can we do an episode where we go in depth on our prospect. Stats, draft positions, community sentiment. Maybe explain the different stats you like to use and let us know why they are important. Just an idea. I love you guys! I watch every episode
Been watching all summer long on my walks home from work. Thanks for y’all’s commitment to the podcast. It’s a great show
I watch a ton of Red Wings content, and this is the best podcast out there. Thanks for the hard work.
Been really fun rebuild but this is the first really exciting season this could be the season we see an actual core on the ice.
Hard to decipher which was the better on Johansson's goal. The move or the shot. It was a sweet sequence.
It is a bit puzzling why Danielson is playing as I'm not sure the reps are really doing him any good. He's well past the development of these other guys in the tournament so what's the value?
ahhhhhh you got Buchelnikov right. i love it! 😇 except now we need to kidnap him and bring him over here like we did Federov 🤣

To me, this season and upcoming off-season in 2026 is the final time that the Detroit Red Wings could have one of the best prospect pools in the NHL. A lot of Detroit Red Wings prospects are very close to graduating from G.R. and becoming full-time Detroit Red Wings players.
Detroit Red Wings prospects future time-line in becoming full-time Detroit Red Wings:
At the start of the 2026-2027 season:
Nate Danielson, ASP, Carter Mazur, Amadeus Lombardi, Sebastian Cossa should be all locks
William Wallinder and Shia Buium will have an excellent opportunity to graduate.
Dark horse candidates:
Dmitri Buchelnikov and MBN
At the start of the 2027-2028 season:
Dmitri Buchelnikov, MBN, Anton Johansson
Trey Augustine and Emmitt Finnie will have an excellent opportunity to graduate.
Dark horse candidates:
Jesse Kiiskinen, Carter Bear, and Max Plante
At the start of the 2028-2029 season:
Jesse Kiiskinen, Carter Bear, Max Plante
Dark horse candidates:
Eddie Genborg and Michal Svrcek
Detroit Red Wings 2031-2032 season line-up:?
Bear Kasper Raymond
Buchelnikov Plante MBN
Lombardi Danielson Kiiskinen
Finnie Soderblom Mazur
(Genborg, Svercek)?
Buium? Seider
Edvidsson ASP
Johansson Johansson
Wallinder
Augustine
Cossa
My summary of the Wings talking heads over the summer: 1. The Wings have many talented prospects. 2. The Wings have not filled all the holes at forward, defense, & goal. 3. There is little chance the Wings will make the playoffs this season (‘25-26). If this is true, the Wings need to unload Larkin this season for a younger talent (that hasn’t been concussed into a shortened career). The Wings organization needs to be expecting more from the minor league development staff for getting this talent into the NHL.

Right there with you, Brian. Carolina has supplanted Washington (because they're still wearing the Reebok design) as my pick for the worst uniforms in the NHL. Absolute trainwreck of inconsistency. It just makes me love the Wings' philosophy even more. Never change; wear league/manufacturer-forced alternates as infrequently as possible. Simple and clean.
Not one of these so-called prospects averaged a point a game last season in their various leagues. Who is Yzerclown trying to fool? Np scorers, no goalies, and one defenseman. That is in the entire system. What do you gentlemen say?
