The trade of Kuemper for PL Dubois certainly worked out well for both teams!
Posting this on Kopi's birthday is a nice touch
This team got worse i think
I think turcott is going to center the 4th line Shannon GKG
I wish the kings had of picked up perry years ago 😪
I've said it before and I'll say it again, the Kings win both the President's trophy AND the Stanley cup this year, with the only blemish being that Edmonton will miss the playoffs so everyone will say "Yeah but…" every-time Kings fans bring it up. Come at me in June haters. Until then it's all opinion, and is meaningless.
This team looks so old and sclerotic. I think it’s the one team in the Pacific that could surprise people in the wrong direction.
gkg!
Almost that time of year. GKG.
Let's be honest, Shannon. I voted for the team to regress to 5th or lower, for two reasons: 1) So that they don't face the Oilers in the 1st Round again, and 2) so that GM Holland can finally start working to make the team younger and more balanced, if not offense-oriented.
ken holland really thinks ceci and dumoulin > gavrikov and spence
Since winning the cup in 2012 and 14 the Kings have been lousy either failing to qualify or getting taken out first round. Maybe the Corry Perry Invitational will allow them to make the finals… only to lose it.
Nice schedule. Road warriors incoming indeed
Oulook: get smoked by the Oilers again
The King's will be battling for 1st again, as they have the last couple years. It's basically a battle for 1st and to not finish in 3rd. Everyone is s making such a big deal about the King's free agent signings. What they don't understand about Ceci & Doumelin is they are judging them as 1st & 2nd pairings of the past couple years. But they were brought in to be the 3rd pairing. Compared to the 3rd pairing last year. They are better. Same for Perry & Armia who were signed to be the new 4th line. Along with Turcotte playing center. Who looked really good on the 1st line with Kopitar and Kempe. So now we have a 3rd D pairing that can be used in the 1st round. Along with a good 4th line. This team is better than last year upfront. They did lose Gavrikov which does hurt. But he free agency $ and Holland didn't want to pay it. So they lost a top 4 Damn and got a 3rd pairing for 1mil more than Gavrikov wanted. He's going to regret it for less than 1/2 mil more than he was offered by the King's. I heard they offered 6.7mil. So he left for 300k. Hopefully Clarke will be able to fill most of what they lost with a bigger role this year. He started to heat up in the Playoffs. Giving everyone a glimpse of what's to come. After they finally took his leash off. I guess we'll know by the end of April if they were the right moves. Or sooner if it falls apart. I fear Holland will make a move at the deadline. So far he's kept his word on only adding to an already good team. Hopefully they don't give him a reason to want to add. Shipping out players at the deadline can kill team morale.
I miss Kuzmenko on the Canucks! Thanks Tocchet!
Kings aren’t chokers, they’re just unlucky matchups
First in the pacific is a race between LA, Edm, and Vegas. Vegas got Marner but lost pietrangelo….wash maybe. Edmonton got mangiapone which is underrated but lost brown, Perry and Kane…slightly worse. I might be the only one who thinks the Kings improved enough to skate all their players in the third period against Edmonton with a lead. They did not do that and it caught up to them as they sat back because they were short benched. The kings biggest problem is they will likely put all their chips in on building around byfield and Clarke for the future.
I still blame hiller on the fall off
It's time for Byfield and Clarke to step up and carry this team. Kopitar and Doughty should be in more secondary roles at this point. QB and Clarke should both be PP1 and getting big minutes – And I fully believe they're both ready to do very well in those bigger minutes. People are writing the Kings off given their free agency signings but if Clarke and Byfield take over this team starts to look VERY different (in a good way).
Born to be kings, destined to be mid
8:22 Brzustewicz in 2nd to Greentree among the Kings top prospects
Small correction, Liam Greentree would be their highest-rated prospect, by a notable margin. That’s a name you’ll want to keep an eye on
GKG! I love seeing Fiala on it! He has speed and plays hard, We have the tools, we have to end the Edmonton "thing".
FIRE LUC!
We won the Cup as an 8 seed, we won the Cup as a 3 seed. I feel confident that everytime we make the playoffs, we have a shot. think we are older, I am not sure we are older in a good way, but Holland has a lot more experience than we do and his institutional knowledge with the people in the ORG can help him. Lets Go Kings.
