  1. There is no way Arber is moved, unless Crosby is coming the other way or
if they want Arber straight up for McTavish .

  2. Good I hope this puts an end to the Habs/McTavish talks. I don’t think the possibility was ever there, Habs would have to give up too much and making a hole to fill a hole doesn’t make sense

  3. Wifi and Struble are not far enough apart as hockey players to ignore the extra dimension Wifi brings and Struble does not have, making his teammates stand a little taller and play a little harder. Keep the faith and Go Habs Go!

  4. Another Quebec media that doing pointless sabre rattling with crap rumours. Both RDS and BPM either have noob personnel or deliberate drama for rumours. We already know what Stuble and Xheraj are about. Struble plays a little more sound defense, but is not physical enough. Xheraj has to play more sound defense and know when to not go for the big hit. This got him into the doghouse after the game in Carolina. He went for a big hit and left Sebastian Aho wide open allowing to score easily.

  5. I think let Engstrom and Reinbacher to continue developing in AHL
Their roles will be more defensive and that could use more time learning game situations and phyiscally developing…

7 guys with a rotation of Xhekaj and Struble… kinda makes sense if we dont do the Matheson trade… though would prefer Matheson as trade deadline chip, Matheson can help settle that 3rd pairing, no pairing gets burnt out, you can put whatever you need for special teams to bump up Dobson and Hutson minutes, after that , distribute as needed

    Guhle-Dobson
    StrubleMatheson-Huston
    MathesonXhekaj-Carrier

I am seeing Carrier as picking up those Savard minutes, PK and such, Matheson can be your puck mover in those situation and he was put in those situations a lot last season and you can see it wear on him, but now we got Dobson to eat up more critical D minutes

it'll be a fun season, im excited to see whatever happens

  6. Arber isn't a 4th pairing defenseman. Also, you never want a defenseman as an enforcer. A defenseman getting 5 5-minute or 10-minute misconduct penalty disproportionately hurts a team. If Arber were a 13th forward, he would be useful as a defender; he's a liability.

  7. We are at the exact same spot as pre-laine last year where you look at the D and there's 1 too many and you look at the offense and there's something missing. There's no way the season starts as is

  8. Am repeating myself but I will say it again….if Arber is traded, the team will not go ANYWHERE in the playoffs….. and i will seriously consider cheering for my second favorite team, the Oilers….👿

  9. @@darylhickey……it’s ok, everyone has an opinion…..it’s just that both of us cant be wrong😂….

  10. We need Arber! His contributions are actually huge even if they don't directly reflect on the scoresheet.

You still need toughness in 2025 on the ice, and Arby brings that in spades.

  11. Struble is an asset, Xhekaj is a game shaker, someone who can change the outlook of the game and tilt it in his teams favour

  12. If they sign 8, arber is gone or moved to 4th line winger their is no other option.

  13. Jake Evans no one has mentioned should slip in too#2 center. I dont remember him playing in top 6 but he had in his younger years and dished the puck quite nicely in Notre Dame.

  14. PROBLEM: Marty McFly does not like WIFI !
PROOF? Matheson, much more experienced and one of Marty's favorites. can make error after error, turnover after turnover and never miss a shift (let alone a game). WIFI maskes one turover that leads to opponent goal….in the press box for weeks. On top of that – Marty didn't seem to mind watching his team get manhandled by the Caps in the playoffs. IMHO, coach McFly will not lead the Habs to the promised land

  15. I would love to see Arber as a 4th line defensive winger. Having D sitting in the Box 10 min a game hurts the team. As a winger, he would be smash faces all he wants.

  16. I hope Arber can be efficient in PK. A third pair defenseman should be able to play those important minutes.

  17. I'm with Jesse, the Habs need Xhekaj and he should've started the playoffs. There's also more to his game than just toughness. I also like Strubble and think he too can bring a more physical edge to his game. Simple fix, find a taker for Matheson.

  18. We haven’t had any significant injuries for a while in which case they might both be used. Injuries will happen.

  19. Struble is without a doubt the better player. But having both Arber and Florian in the line in a few years will be huge in the playoffs.

  20. Matheson and Anderson plus whatever round pick for McTavish. I love Anderson but we have Florian coming up and Reinbacher and Engtrom will easily replace the Math man. Wifi need to stay bar none!! This would take us very far I believe.

  21. I've been a habs fan ever since I can remember. I recall the 70's cups as a kid, so I've seen plenty of players come and go. The way some of you talk about Arbor, makes it sound like he is the difference maker for the whole season. You people need to give your head a shake!! We are talking about an undrafted 24 year old who doesn't play good shutdown D and hasn't shown much offensive upside. So when it comes down to it, what happens when Reinbacher is ready to go and you have Matheson on the third pairing, who is Arbor replacing? Hutson, Guhle, Matheson??????????

  22. si tu veux pas metre wifi a def fait le jouer sur la 4e ligne .fait monter son frere , on se fera plus donner des coups salo
