Connor, what is up, Evan? I’m doing well. How you doing? Doing great. Doing great. How are the sunburns? Are they are you uh are you are you healed or are you still feeling the effects? Uh they’ve subsided a little bit, but I was at Gillette Stadium today and I’ll be here for the whole week of training camp and uh not a lot of cloud cover over there, let me say. So, as much as uh you know, the Osmosis Jones uh system inside my body is trying to patch up the sunburns. They got a whole other wave coming this way. So, it’s going to be looking like a lobster, I think, for the whole rest of the summer. Yeah, it is. I saw a tweet that was like, “I feel embarrassed when I have sunburns because it means I wasn’t prepared for like the outdoors. I wasn’t prepared for like what nature could throw at me.” But that wasn’t really the case with you in uh on the other side of the ocean. Like you you were sunscreened up. Yeah. The canopy like park over there. I like some of the comments being like, you know, it’s the summer when Evan and Connor spend the first like five minutes talking about Canopy Lake Park. I will say I was on a walk today. It’s a good place. I’ve been getting into walks. I think I’m sorry. Sorry to cut you off. We should talk more about Canopy Lake once we get to the middle of November. We might just start talking. We don’t want to talk about James Hagens or the Bruins or anything. No, we’re talking about the Mine of Lost Souls, baby. We should. Mine of Lost Souls. That uncovered a memory. I completely forgot I had That’s also what we might have to deem the the Bruins 2526 season the same thing. So, the mine of lost souls. I like that. We I think we could uh we could find a way to do that or some sort of segment. We do a live stream from that. We could. We should. Oh, can you imagine a live stream from Canopy Lake Park? People can do it. People would have to show up to that and then like we all ride rides together and and we have a great time. The peacock just screaming in the background. Yeah. Yes. Yes. Kept going on the cake powder all over my face. Yeah. Oh, yeah. I think we can I think I think we have enough listeners that we could actually make that happen. I I think we could do it. I think it’d be outstanding. But I was walking listening to 32 thoughts and I was like, “Come on guys, get to the point. Get to the point.” And then I’m like, “That’s hypocritical because Lord knows during the summer we can’t stay on track or we sometimes struggle with it.” Um, so I I guess I know how some of you listeners feel, but Candy Lake Park coverage should always be appreciated. Uh, it it What’s wrong with Candy Lake Park? Nothing’s wrong with Candy Park. Nothing. Um, some news over the weekend. I want to first half of this episode or for however long it goes. Um, at New England Hockey Journal, we focus a lot on recruiting. We focus a lot on kids going into college hockey and sort of the trends coming up into college. And one of the interesting things is kids now in junior hockey. So, the USHL and then the CHL up in Canada with the Dub, the OHL, uh, and the QMJHL. Kids are going earlier and earlier. And this was happening before the CHL ruling was happening. And essentially the reason was kids wanted maximum amount of time in junior hockey because the there was sort of a death of an 18-year-old the death of the 18-year-old freshman in college hockey. Only the best of the best kids were going into college at 18. If you weren’t going to factor into your team um as a freshman, as an 18-year-old freshman, most colleges would say go back to junior. Go. It’s better you season there where you’re playing a ton in multiple situations in a leadership role potentially than it is coming here and being scratched or not playing a whole lot. So there’s already that trend of college hockey getting older and junior hockey kids coming into college much more equipped to make an impact than they were even 5 10 years ago. And what’s interesting is now with the CHL ruling where the CHL is open for business in terms of the NCAA, you get these CHL kids coming into college hockey. And you saw that over the weekend. Roger McQueen, who was a potential Bruins draft pick at seven, someone we our listeners certainly know a lot about because we talked a lot about him for many months. Number 10 overall pick, went to the Anaheim Ducks. He’s going to Providence College. He’s committed to Providence College. He’s leaving the Brandon Wheat Kings for Providence this upcoming season, which is a blow to the CHL, but a huge boost for Hockey East. And it’s not the only top prospect in Hockey East or the only top prospect coming to college hockey from um from the CHL. Gavin McKenna obviously just went to Penn State for this upcoming season at just 17. And it sort of hints at like a lot of people get on the Bruins for oh BC kids, oh local kids, blah blah blah blah blah. And I get that, right? It does to the outsider seem like that is what they do. But it might work out because college hockey is developing into less of a developmental league. You talk I talked to more and more coaches who are like we are not a developmental league anymore. You can’t come into college not ready for college hockey. You’ve got to spend time in junior. You got to come in ready to make an impact or you’re transferring after a year. There’s just not going to be a place because these roster spots. And all I can think of is all these Bruins prospects from James Hagens down to Ellie Grenwald and Chris Pelosi and Will Zeers and everybody. It’s a much more developmentally friendly or excuse me, not developmentally friendly for the NHL developmentally friendly league. Not for college, but for the NHL. It’s arguably, and I know we have a lot of Canadian listeners who love the CHL and think it’s still better than the NCAA, but it’s headed towards potentially, and it already kind of is, a little bit better of a breeding ground for NHL talent. I think that bodess well for a lot of the Boston’s prospects. Yeah, I think you just look at the level of competition and the fact that it’s just going to keep on getting better and better, right? I mean, even look at like Dean Lerno last year, right? Like we already I think the writing was on the wall that you saw the jump that he was going to make from, you know, pretty much the prep level to Hockey East. You know, it wasn’t like it was, you know, Hockeyy’s probably, I would consider one of the top conferences, right, in college hockey anyway. just the amount of I mean how many hockey teams last year were ranked like like over half of them like it was insane. Uh that jump was issizable and like you saw it firsthand with a guy like Laterno when you probably should have gone to the USHL or something else like that and you know even like years back when you know it feels like Canadian Junior and CHL still had the leg up like you could make the case that college hockey was still good. Uh, I’m not going to talk about like, oh, the education and the degree. Like, we’re not doing that. You know, it was a Cole Hudson recently that was like, yeah, my major is hockey. Like, we’re not doing that. But I do think you look at the level of competition that is every single weekend, you know, playing in college hockey in Hockey East in this regard. Um, also like just the the ability to like not also overt tax yourself, right? Where instead of it being like games every other day, it feels like in Canadian Junior, it’s like you’ve got the whole week to practice, to work in the gym, to build muscle, especially um all these things that you have to check the boxes off to be a pro in the coming years. Um, you know, if you’re if you’re mapping out, you know, pitching what you could get out of college hockey and it’s like you can play two, three times a week against uh the best competition in hockey, right, at that level, you know, before you get to the pros in a lot of state-of-the-art facilities. Um, you know, playing in that kind of environment sounds like a pretty good deal. like there’s a reason why all these other guys are going to these spots and it’s like you can look at I think teams that have a lot of resources behind them right like Penn State with McKenna or Michigan State or Michigan or some of these other ones yeah the Big 10 all these ones but like I still don’t imagine even with you factor in you know feel like we can go down the rabbit hole of like NIL and all the funds and all that but you have enough of these other schools like the legacy college hockey programs like BC and BEu even like Providence Providence doesn’t have financial flexibility of the financial might of a Big 10, but they got a damn good player in Roger McQueen. And I think you, you know, you look at like Maine, how good Maine is with bringing in goalies, guys from like Sweden who are like, “Oh, I love Oro, right?” Like I think you’re going to still UMass like is most a lot of guys from outside the United States and even Canada. Yeah. And even like you look at just people are now ready to anoint Gavin McKenna and Penn State as the favorites and it’s like you know probably is probably going to make a run. It’s probably one of these like teams that are like way out west where the average age of the roster is 23.4 and like one guy is drafted and they’re tough as nails and they’re going to grind their way through. like the parody in college hockey, the level of competition, whether it’s an 18, 19 year old blue chip prospect or a bunch of 23 year old guys who are going to make life hell for you every time you’re out on a shift, it can only benefit you. So yeah, I I do think it’s good for college hockey obviously, but I think for especially us and, you know, in this market with Hockey East, like dude, there’s going to be great games every single week. Whether it’s following along with the 14 guys that the Bruins seem to have on the BC team or even like a few BEu guys, you know, UMass, like there’s just so much um parody and excitement, I think, coming out with college hockey this year. And if I’m a younger player, if I was in that spot, yeah, that’s where I’d set my sights. If I was good enough, would be looking at Hockey East or just college hockey in general. And I think that’s why for the Bruins, you look at like, let’s just even say a Chris Pelosi, a third round pick who it’s sort of like, what’s he really going to be? Goes into Quinnipiac last year, scores 13 goals, puts up 24 points in 38 games as a freshman. Hard not to be excited about that. To do that in college hockey against older, stronger guys. And he was like, what is he right now? He is uh God. Oh, these ads, man. Get out of here. Um, he’s 20 now, so he’s 19 last season, but even as a 19year-old freshman, that’s really impressive. Like, that’s a that’s a that’s indicative of a guy who’s going to, you know, should be an impact guy and continue to grow. And I think that’s one thing that with having your guys in college um is is beneficial to the Bruins. to have them there in that playing against guys like Roger McQueen at Providence or the stacked BEu teams or or or you know going and playing Big 10 schools who always have you know Michigan State’s gotten so much better, Penn State. Um and I think for James Hagens it’s interesting because this was something you and I talked a lot about in the leadup to the draft where people were going, “Oh, he was only a point per game guy in college and you know he should have produced more with guys like Leonard and Perau.” And I agree, there was an adjustment period for him for sure. And there were times, as we’ve said until we’ve been blew in the face, there were times that you didn’t notice him as much. But I also think with Hagens in college, it’s like there’s a kid who started the year as a 17-year-old, finished as a point per game guy in what is now becoming arguably the top league before the NHL or before professional hockey. Like that’s a huge accomplishment. And it’s and it’s going to be interesting this year to see like Roger McQueen at Providence. What is he? Is he putting up better numbers than Hagen’s last year? Is he below that because there’s an adjustment period? Like that’s my thing. And I I do wonder if we look back in 5 10 years and say, my god, like did did we get Hagens’s freshman year wrong? Like we put that up against unfair competition. We didn’t, you know, we didn’t, you know, I’m saying we as in everybody, not me and you, but like, you know, we didn’t weight it correctly, um, as we would have if he was in the CHL dominating for London in the OHL. And like that’s that’s what it’s really interesting to me because like Hagens was just this world junior summer showcase. I think he led the whole showcase with like 1.67 points per game. Yeah. Like he was outstanding. And again, it’s his age group, so like you have to factor that in. That’s why like you know my guess is he dominates college this year and we’re sitting here a year from now being like man you know wow what a not just what a steal but like what a miscalculation of a freshman season. It does feel like there has to be like some readjustment where you look at just how much talent is coming through college hockey even from like when I was in college where like listen you still have unbelievable blue chip talent but you did not have just the influx of like doesn’t matter whether you’re a BUBC or anyone else in hockey if you go through like the the depth chart now the little print out more than half the guys if not threequarters 80 90% of the team is drafted. Yep. Whereas like back in the day, like not to this gonna sound mean, but I’m like you’d have like BU and BC would have like half, right? But you’d have some guys who were played a couple years in the US, couple of like guys that were, you know, just kind of playing in in other leagues that maybe weren’t set for that spot. You’d play, again, not to be mean, like I don’t know, Marramac or something like that and have like one or two guys. And that’s just how it was. like the whole climate has changed now where now every single team, every single program, it has either established like prospects, guys that have NHL draft rights or it’s guys who are also like have played a couple years in the US and are 22 23 and are going to be a lot tougher to play against. So, I do wonder how other guys fare, right? Like how does Roger McQueen do with a clean bill of health? How does like Gavin McKenna do? Like I’m not saying this in terms of like I’m thinking this guy is going to be a bust or anything like that, but I do think again it’s going to be nail. Yeah. But like I feel like I don’t know it’s just because it’s such a unique of like the hype around him and that he’s going to college. People are like ah Paul Korea let’s go. like let’s see like you know like I’m not saying that this guy’s going to be a point per game guy but like I also don’t like it is not like a 99.9% lock that he’s going to have a eel fantily like what if he has a 55 point season what if he has a 48 point season on Penn State like does he suck because like he’s a 17 year old playing against guys that are on average like four years older than him so I do wonder if that changes and I could be wrong like McKenna could have a 41 goal 44 assist season. I I’ll shut the hell up. But I do wonder if like especially for these blue chip guys where there’s so much talent and so many older players prevalent in the league if it does kind of change your perception of like even look at like Eel like Eel was unreal that year like was ready to go was ready to play in the NHL but like the love of competition he also was feasting against you know not I think as stout of a roster right like he was carving up UVM and I’m sorry Evan like UMass was not that good that year and a few the guys, right? It was like Frank Petrono. It was Frank Porrono and I think you maybe was on that. I was I was a big player on those. Brennon Montour, I believe, was on those. But like it was few and far between. Johnny Lazarus. Johnny Lazarus was on those teams. Exactly. Johnny Laz on those teams. I I I just think that uh it will be really interesting like if that is something that some of these guys go through like a McKenna or something if that’s just what the new norm is like. Uh, and so I if that is the case, let’s say, and let’s say, oh man, McKenna only has 50 points, pretty damn good. But like does that also change just the the perception of like a guy like Kagans? So how how you do grade that I think is going to be interesting moving forward? Well, I think the thing with McKenna is going to be 100%. If he’s under 60 points, your average college hockey watcher, your average hockey fan is going to say that’s a bust. Like, oh my god. Whereas the reality is, and we’ll see, you know, does he put up all his points in non-conference games against like LIU or something. Um, but at the same time, it’s like, no, man, that’s still really impressive when you consider where college hockey is going age-wise. I think next year when we’re looking at draft picks, this is going to be something that we’re probably going to do quite a bit throughout the season, taking stock of who’s in the top 10 and who the Bruins could get. you know, you’re going to have we’re going to have to evaluate a guy in college who maybe is a top 10 prospect who’s under a point per game on or under a point per game pace. And people like, “Oh, he stinks.” It’s like, “No, you’ve got to understand where what college is at right now. It’s not the way it was even two or three years ago.” And of course, guys like Celrini had those seasons, Will Smith, like 100%. Yeah. But not everybody’s going to do that. And they’re still going to go on and have phenomenal top 10 draft pick worthy careers. And I think that’s something that we’re going to run into. and I think everybody’s going to run into next year. And the other part of this is, and I don’t I don’t know enough about the CHL. I don’t know as much about the CHL as I do other leagues, but the feeling I get from talking to people is they think the CHL is going to get a little bit younger. So, you’re going to have high-end guys who are younger. So, then your draft eligible guys, are they now the oldest players there? Are they dominating because they are 18 in a league that has many 17 and 16 year olds? And that’s the other part of it too. And it’s same with the USHL too. You have to think about that as well. And then there’s the part about like kids from the NTDP if they’re playing colleges their U8 year and having success. Well, that’s even more impressive now. So, there’s a lot of fallout with that that I think we’re going to have to track next year, especially when it comes to um draft prospects. I think that’s going to be a big thing for us um going forward. You know what’s always a big thing for us? Our friends at Prize Pick. Our friends at Prize Pick. The baseball hall of fame is more controversial. I feel like people vote on it. It’s a big deal. I love the Instagram account. It’s like um I don’t know if you follow them. It’s in it’s MLB uh Hall of Pretty good. Have you seen this? I have seen this. Yes. Love it. Every time I follow it. I’m in like the the the direct messaging group. Every time u they put up a new person to vote. It’s like have you seen the meme where it’s like me going to work and it’s like a t-shirt and it’s like me like doing something else. It’s like a full there like a full suit like you know locked in like let’s look at this guy’s baseball reference. Um, but Hockey Hall of Fame is interesting, too. And they did a Hockey Hall of Fames tiers. Um, and they had a tier one, they could retire today and make it. Tier one and a half, almost there, if not already a lock. Tier two, right on the cusp. Tier two and a half, crossing the blue line. Tier three, outside shots. Tier four on track. Tier five, check back in a few years. Now, they had Brad Marshian as the first player almost there, if not already a lock. And Marian’s an interesting because we I feel like we’ve been having this debate for years. Is he a Hall of Famer? And here’s an interesting stat they um that they laid out. Except for Patrick Alashsh, every NHL player in history with at least a thousand points and two Stanley Cups is either in the Hall of Fame or not yet eligible for introd for introduction for induction. Uh and Marian is only 20 points shy of a thousand, so he should hit it. Um is Brad Marartian a Hall of Famer in your eyes, Connor? Yes, without a doubt. and go. Yeah. I think you you also look at his peak, right? Like he he’s also a player and I know it doesn’t revolve around this and I feel like there’s multiple times where you can go through all the other players who every year it feels like for the NHL the hockey hall of fame there’s like three or four players like what the hell when’s he getting brought in? Like there’s a lot of guys that missed the cut and have to wait years and years to even get that opportunity. But I feel like Martian’s one already like an iconic player, right? like especially for like just what he’s done whether it’s as a rookie in 2011 to what he’s done now this past year on that playoff run with Florida how he is in terms of his reputation on the ice how he is off the ice as a quotable player like a guy that is very marketable like there’s a lot to like about just the complete package what Marshand is but beyond that like he had a prime for five plus years or he was arguably one of the two three best left wings in the league so I I think that he’s a lock of all locks for, you know, lock of all locks. I’m not saying like he’s like, you know, the same tier, same class as a guy like Crosby or Rovetchkin, but I think if you look at iconic players from this generation, I think he’s right up there. And I think what he did um, you know, with Florida this past year, all but cements of like just put him on a team, he’s going to compete, he’s gonna, you know, hustle, he’s going to make plays, and good things tend to happen. And I think he saw that with what he did the last couple months. Yeah, I think he’s synonymous with this generation. I also wonder like I’m assuming non Bruins fans or some non Bruins fans might not realize how good he was. You just hit on it during that prime. During that prime like 2016 to 2022 range, 85 points, 85 points, 100 points, 87 points, 69 and 53 during that 2020 21 weird COVID season and then 80 in 2122. like just a a guy you wanted on your side always and he produced and he’s been producing and he’s still producing and I think this second Stanley Cup really kind of solidified that. I think if he pro if he finished with only one cup. I think you’re probably debating it a little bit more. I still think he get he’d get in. Uh but the second Stanley Cup to me at least kind of puts it out of reach. Like I I I get that they put him on the cusp. I put him in like I put him at the end of that first tier. I mean, he also was right in the the running for the K smite. Like you look at what he did in that what was it game three against Toronto where like if they lose that game yikes. Yep. Big boy game from him. Steps up in game seven has you know what scores five goals in the Stanley Cup final. Has an OT winner there. Like steps up and like that’s just a guy that again to your point if he had just one. All right. You can maybe make that argument or let’s say he wins a cup two, three years down the road and he’s more of a secondary player. No, like the Panthers, listen, they’re a wagon of a team. They probably don’t win without having a guy like him making plays like that. Like you needed him to step up in that spot and he delivered, right? So I I think absolutely when you look at just I already thought he was a Hall of Famer before this season before he got to Florida, but like I don’t know how you can look at just where it’s so fresh in everyone’s mind what he did and be like no very good. No, that guy helped win that team a cup. Oh, no doubt. And I think he’s in. I think he is absolutely in. Uh and it’s funny because like you look at sort of the other tier like the tier one guys, Crosby, duh. Ovetchkin, duh. Malcin Kane, Copitar, Stamco, McDavid, McKinnon, Cucherov, Carlson, Hedman, Dowy, Babski, who was kind of a debatable one for a little bit there. Now I think he’s officially in the cups and everything like in the longevity. So with business with the cups too, right? Like yeah, like huge. Jonathan Quick, Vasileki, and then Dry Cidle was like the new addition um to that first tier. And then the other guys with Marian is like almost there if not already a lock. Marshian Taves, Brent Burns, Bararkov, who I honestly I would I would I would lock him as a lock at this point. Barkoff’s a lock at this point. I just think the you know is a two-way forward. He’s up there. And then um Connor Halabuk. Uh before we get into where Posterno ranked, I know I don’t know about that one. Um before we get into uh where Posternok is in this, um make sure to go subscribe to Bruins Ranks out on YouTube. Turn on notifications. Poke the bear, pucks with hags, Bruins beat, all through the off seasonason, interviews, interesting conversations, streams, and then obviously during the season, press conferences, all those types of things. Um, and make sure to go subscribe wherever you uh get your podcasts from, Apple Podcast, Spotify, Podbe, and wherever it is. Um, and then obviously there’s a ton of great content that isn’t hockey. So, if you’re a big Celtics fan, Patriots fan, Bengals, too. Mike Petia, it was going viral. Do you see this, Connor? The banana Jamar Chase. Yeah. Awesome. I loved it. Trags, friend of the show, Trags was looking fantastic. So, there’s also that. So, make sure to go subscribe to those uh great channels on YouTube or listen to those podcasts wherever you get your podcast from. Um David Posternok comes in in uh tier four as on track. So, the other guys with him in here are Tammy Paneran, David Postno, Nico Rantan, um Matthew Kachchuck, and Quinn Hugh. So, these are essentially guys who are a little too young but are right there. Um, if Postronaut continues at this pace, like that’s a lock. Like, I don’t even think that’s a question. And at like I don’t see him slowing down anytime soon. To me, I think within five years, Postnak’s in that tier one. What do you think? Yeah, barring injury or anything else, he’s going to put up points. If David Posner can put up 43 goals and 106 points on that Bruins team from last year, like that guy is just a cheat code offensively. Like the I think you look at how great he is offensively. Uh the again it’s not the end all be all with this but like in terms of iconic players guys that are easy to market in you know a generational type player he’s been that for the last five years and he’s going to continue for the next five 10 right for just how uh how unique of a player he is and I think probably the one thing that’s against him so far is hasn’t had a cup yet has played on a lot of very good teams has been a key piece on a lot of very good teams um but you know who knows Maybe in five plus years if he’s with James Hagens and the Burns get this refill out the right way. Maybe he’s the captain of the next generation where you’ve got the Berseron Charara era. Maybe it’s the Posak era moving forward. And even if it’s not, he’s still going to be a generational offensive talent who if he stays his entire career with the Bruins is going to be up there with the the legends of this franchise in terms of career goals, points, all that kind of stuff. So would not be surprising. just another couple years, clean bill of health. He’s going to be, I think, all but a lock in terms of just a guy that is a master in the offensive zone. Yeah. And he’s and he even tweeted about the Hagens pass across. He even tweeted like that, you know, he’s seems excited uh to do that. I agree with you. I don’t see a way in which a post sort of falls out of that. And I agree with you in the sense of just how good he was this past season that continues on kind of subpar teams. um and he’s kind of bringing young guys along and he’s a leader and all those different things. I don’t see a way in which he’s not um forcing his way into that conversation. One of the interesting ones though, and I’m not I’m not an expert on Hall of Fame candidacies and things like that, but Chris Latang is put in the right on the cusp category. Is there anything else he can do to get into like to that tier one, get traded to a better team? That’s honestly that’s what would do it. That had that would have to do it, right? Like Yeah, cuz I’m looking like I’m looking at I not I don’t know if you guys even care, but like Latang was one of the top defenseman when I was a kid and you know for a long time. For a long time. Like he was real good for a while. Um never won a Norris, right? No, never won a Norris. Um Allstar. Um he was sort of in that like next tier of demon throughout that whole like there was Carlson Brent Burns for a little bit. Nick Lidstrom at the beginning, Charara obviously Latang was always kind of in that next next grouping but made so much he was never like he’s six feet so like as a defenseman that’s not huge and he was so offensive. So I do wonder if he finds a way to squeak his way in. So yeah, by the way, maybe he’s one of those guys that you have to wait a little bit and then there’s just more clamoring once it’s you know Crosby and Mullin and all those guys get get their nod. I wonder if eventually he gets his just due because again there’s value to be had for a guy that good for that long for who obviously played such a key role on two different contention windows for the same franchise. So I meant to bring this up with Posternok, but I’m always wondering when the year is going to be when he gets on the cover of the new NHL game. So, the new NHL 26, Matthew Kachchuck’s on the cover, which is not a huge shock. I thought they were going to try to find a way to put Brady on it, too. I thought it would be the Kachchuck brothers, but they didn’t win gold at that Ottawa first. Yeah, that that’s a big one, but didn’t win gold at Four Nations. So, I think you can’t have them both holding like a gold medal. Um, and he didn’t obviously hasn’t won a cup, so you can’t have them both hoisting the cup. Um, so Kachchuck gets on the cover. At some point though, I think Posanok’s got to be the guy. Like to me, he has that sort of aura about him. I’ve been saying this for a long time. Um I get why it isn’t this year. Kachchuck makes a lot of sense for this season. Um the game still stinks by the way. Um but I do wonder when Postnox’s time comes. Be 2627 when Hagens is setting him up for like 58 goals or something like that. Yeah. Have Higgins and Poshock on the cover of NHL 29 or whatever it is. I think I think we get behind that. I think we get behind that. Um, Connor, what can the people look forward to from you over at the globe and Boston.com? Yeah, you can read my stuff over at the globe andboston.com. 1. Gotta remember 95% of the kids are still gonna be drafted out of a CHL team, and I’d say 60% after there drafted will go to the NCAA but the CHL is also going to get a lot more American and euros coming in at 15-16-17 and during there draft year, as far as the workload you guys are talking about lol idk what junior team your watching or hearing things about but teams like Quebec, Moncton, London, just to name a few all have way nicer arenas and facilities than most NCAA programs lol, now to say the CHL is better is just dumb lol; would london last year beat most the teams in the ncaa? Sure, but the top 5-6 teams would definitely be a tough game. And London was an absolute wagon this year: but there older, stronger, more developed, vs 17-18-19 year olds who have guys who would never be ncaa players.

  2. For anyone who hasn’t watched much of mckenna…… he’s going to hit 50 easily lol, I wouldn’t be surprised if he had 75-80 points lol I don’t really see anyone on his level that his draft, there’s lots of really good players but it’s still that mcdavid-Eichel gap between 1-2. There’s a bigger gap between 1 and 2 then there is 3-10

  3. As unusual as it may be, Marchand being the all time leader in suspensions kinda helps his HOF case. You can’t tell the story of hockey without naming Marchand for that reason
