Juraj Slafkovský NEEDS To Have A BIG Season
I created this video to show that Juraj Slafkovský has been getting better every year with the Montreal Canadiens, but now it’s time for him to take over. From using his size more effectively to showing flashes of elite potential, he’s on the verge of something big. But can he finally find the consistency to become a true star? 1. I think he starts the season strong. He knows if he has a slow start like the last 2 seasons. Demidov will replace him on the first line.

  2. Ive been subscribed to your main channel for everz, just subbed to this one and realized i thought your name was Marietta sports lol

  3. Even slaf said he knows he has to start at the beginning of the season. I think he finally grew into his frame and now knows the type of player he wants to be. He is going to be a beast as his confidence grows. I'll be rooting for him even if it takes him this season to figure it out.

  4. I mean he is still 21 and only 3 years post draft. If it’s year 5 then fair enough you expect a lot more. Given his role as a power forward, if he reaches 60-75 pts this coming a season and be responsible defensively. That’s a huge W.
He does have desire to compete, I think internal competition hopefully will light a fire in him as he can’t always assume to be on the First line knowing that he has teammates bearing down him to knock him off the top line

  5. Great analysis, most importantly, to have a successful season, he needs consistency and you said it very well: "he cannot dissapear for 4-5 games". I recall when the season started last year, he was most of the time lost, very passive, did not know what to do…he was just standing…
But when he is focused, his contributions might not be seen in points all the time because he is one of the initiators who helps get the puck back but is not counted as assist. I belive that Lane Hutson is the most consistent player in the team.

  6. He still has 3-4 years to reach his ceiling with that big frame and role(s) as a Habs first liner…

His production ceiling is much lower than his overall contribution to help us win games; important aspect especially if we want to be a good playoff team in 2-3 years…

  7. Having a second line to play behind line 1 should help everyone

He just needs to show up ready from start of season on

  8. Nathan MacKinnon took him 4 years to be The Mack we all know and love to watch. I’m not saying he will be MacKinnon, but he will be special for the Habs. Like Landeskog type, and he needs to shoot more. Slaf is going to be alright imo.🤷🏽‍♂️
