They are turning an industrial brown field into something useful. I will miss the rare “snow bowl” games though, not because it’s an advantage, just for the atmosphere.
At least you’re going to know were your tax dollars are going!!! And Cleveland will have one of the best stadiums league wide for yrs to come. Your 100% right Petey I watched the Saints game with you on stream that day and we learned we ain’t a cold weather team. But with Watson at QB we probably wouldn’t have beat a college team that day. The players are what matters and there going love the new stadium. Like Petey said we’re going get a stadium to host Final Fours SBs Wrestlemania etc. And the fans are going to be 100% more comfortable in the new stadium. I think it’s going to be more than a new stadium it’s going be a experience every Browns fan will appreciate. We’re going have the nicest stadium in football. All these new stadiums have to use taxpayers money 99% of the time. And eventually the AFC north teams will have indoor stadiums the next 10-15yrs . I feel like it’s a big advantage for the team and keeping them healthy also nice soft fake turf

If you take your family to a game, you want to be comfortable and get a bang for a buck. These games are very expensive.

To bad won't be able to afford tickets even though been buying tickets for 20 years and I've been in the coldest of Cleveland games. Love the outdoors but we needed to draft a big QB and use it and we didn't. Plus kills downtown and now haslim gets all the money and we pay higher taxes and ticket cost while he gets richer

I know the other AFC North fans will make fun of us for not being a tough team anymore now having a dome stadium in a few years, but if the team somehow gets better because of it, then it’s worth.
Also no way taxpayers are getting out of it, if they’re not paying now, when that construction cost is about to go over budget, you know who’s paying for it 😑
I personally feel that ALL football stadia should be climate-controlled, especially in NORTHERN climates.
I feel this way almost purely from an economic standpoint. Given that the minimum price of building a new football (NFL) stadium exceeds $1 billion dollars and given that the stadium is going to be used a MAXIMUM of maybe 13 to 15 days (2 preseaon games + maybe 9 regular season games+ 3 postseason games if you're lucky) out of any given year for football-related purposes.
By having a climate-controlled stadium, especially in a northern climate, the venue could possibly be used 200+ days out of any given year.
Building a new stadium for successful teams to play Superbowl in. 😅
Now all the Browns need is an owner who won’t meddle in the franchise and bring in the likes of Johnny Manziel and Deshaun Watson
