Oh man if only there was some political election soon for Canada with a candidate whose entire platform is cutting taxes. That would be really nice right about now.
When the captain of Panthers makes less than 9 million a year, everyone toes the line. When the Leafs captain made 11, everyone wanted that money. Now the captain makes 13.5, so….
The move with Marchand is smart Marchand wanted 8 X4 so they basically gave it to him what they will do is pay him 5.5 now per year but after 3 years they will buy him out so he still gets his 32M and panthers keep Marchand at a reduced price to keep under cap for now just watch the deal was that they will buy him out after 3
No i dont feel like marner gave up on the team while playing he chased the bag be honest i cant be mad at it we all would do the same nhl is still a business why player get all the hate but clubs dont when they just up trade players

Why nobody was complaining about the "tax advantage" in the past when the team was not doing so well? Its funny how its become a problem only now when the team is having a success..
2 things are probably gonna happen- Panthers trade Evan Rodriguez and maybe another guy before the season starts and they save themselves that way or Tkachuk goes on the LTIR for his upcoming surgery. If someone else is injured Rodriguez could stay and if not he’ll probably be traded then. It’s a gamble but man does it pay off if it works. Either way VAMOS GATOS

Remember Matty has to get surgery cuz his abductor muscle is off the bone. He said he was 50/50 but if the thing is off the bone he def needs surgery So I he may go threw almost season ending injury .he can go on LTIR and still keep E rod .thn trade him at the deadline . But E rod is going to collect his 2 mil he gets in a couple days thn I think Zito may give him that option..do you want to do a whole year with X team or do you want to rock with us .until the deadline .but thn who knows cuz someone else get injured can go on the LTIR thn we keep E rod. I'm not worried in Zito we trust.
I'm not sure what it says when as a panther fan, the very first person I ran to for a reaction was Dangle! lol I love you Steve. You may hate my team, but good lord does it feel good for people to care about panthers one or the other after the decades we went through! I absolutely appreciate the respect.

Holy crap, never did I think we’d be able to sign Bennett, Ekblad, AND Marchand to extensions. Our entire core is locked up until 2030. Bobrovsky’s the only guy we’ll need to worry about next year.
Tkachuk will be on LTIR to start the season.
I think the difference in taxes adds up to about 1 million bucks maybe a little bit under. That’s 1 million bucks. Take home.
The no state tax thing helps but there are other teams with the same advantage. They still end up paying closer what everyone else is paying for their players. Panthers have other incentives for the players to stay and come there for under market value.
