  1. Hold the Leaf parade through 2030, we should get another 2-3 cups by then, modern day dynasty, Leafs will win the Stanley cup sometime after 2030 before Zito ever wins GM of year 😆

  2. Americans are just better at applied mathematics and legal loopholes in written and verbal agreements. Barry Zito said that he would be able to re-sign everyone, and he went out and did it. Canada doesn't have that kind of thinking.

  3. Someone please tell me how Ekblad's deal is a discount? I actually think thats a very fair deal for him given his availability concerns and PED tagging. He's missed over 70+ games in the last 3 seasons but has undeniably been a key contributor in the Panthers's success. 6.1-ish X8 years is excellent for the guy. The Panthers' only concern until 2030 now is the guy who comes after Bob.

  4. Don't be surprised if Marchand is not only playing in his 40's but playing good hockey, he's a machine, he loves playing and will probably play even later than 44 yrs old.

  5. Chucky is injured; remember the torn adduct and hernia? Chucky is going on LTIR. He needs surgery and rehab.

  6. These panther guys aren’t playing for money anymore. They’re playing for rings so they’re willing to take a discount. Bill Zito should’ve been manager of the year no doubt.

  7. The Panthers have 10 players signed for five years or more. Unbelievable. These guys are going to be around for a long time. Get ready NHL.

  8. Take note Sweeney. This is how a real general manager does business. Until they fire Sweeney, the Bruins are pretty well screwed.

  9. See the way it's working is we are going for dynasty and players want to be apart of it. $ doesn't matter when you chase legit rings

  10. To all that complain. This a fellow human from Miami Florida USA: Contact your congress person or whatever you call them in Canada to complain about your taxes instead of crying about it… You are welcome!!

  11. Bettman needs to do something about the money imbalance in the NHL.
Players on the seven Canadian teams get paid in US funds, but they live in Canada where the U.S. dollar goes way further, thus inflating the value of their contracts.
    That is not fair.
There needs to be cap relief for the U.S. teams trying to compete with this unfair Canadian advantage!!!!

  12. The expandables
    Rodrigues
    Greer
    Gadjovich
    Balinkis
Schmidt , but I rather keep him
I don’t believe Mackie stays , he is so good , it will be hard to see him go
I wouldn’t trade Verhaeghe, he had an off season, the guy is a sniper

  13. Wait, I’m confused, why would the Zito sign him for 6 years instead of doing that salary deferral thing Tavares did that doesn’t count against cap space? That seems like a 100x better maneuver.
