Ducks are BRAINDEAD PERIOD
Just generally, I don’t know what to think about Zegras (as a player).
Has some high-end, “wow” skill. But I can’t get a read on what kind of player he really is/how good he actually is.
Also wonder how much of that can be attributed to him being on a trash Anaheim team, that ‘doesn’t matter’ to anyone, & him being a young, rich guy living on the beach.
And then if that’s a thing, what does that say about him as a player, etc and on and on lol.
I guess I haven’t watched as many ANA games as I’d like b/c they’re on so late for me…but I can’t get a read on him as a player. Does he switch off at times? Is he more a “flash” skilled guy than an actual good player? Is that perception a result of his situation?
Idk. Hopefully we’ll get a better picture of the player he is in Philly.
You guys are hilarious 😂
I like Poehling but you're way overvaluing him, he's a 4C, maybe a 3rd liner. Great player, but absolutely a depth piece
If Zegra can turn his career around then this is a steal by Philly however this is a huge risk because Zegra has never shown that he can play 2 way hockey and is dealing with injuries.
Zegras is a towel boy.
He’s supposed to be playing center, but he can’t win face off or backcheck so he’s been playing wing and on top of that. He has a bad attitude and doesn’t get along with the other teammates.
Like with a lot of these trades, Anaheim probably could have gotten substantially more (at least a 1st, a prospect and roster player) if they'd traded within their division, but nobody wants to do that for obvious reasons. The Ducks don't want to be a playoff team in a couple of years and end up losing to a division rival because Zegras got hot against them. That seems to be every team's worst fear.
Torts is going to have a stroke form his home when he sees both Zegras and Mitchkov practice michigans haha.
Danny B is as sneaky as GM as he was as a player—love his stealth moves
Zegras is on the verge of being nail yakupov light
So Marner will cowar and sign a max contract with the Ducks
Hiring Quenneville is going to be looked back upon as a disaster move for the ducks franchise. That guy doesn’t work in todays nhl and time will show that
This trade is amazing, the flyers had the 36, 40, 45 and 48. Flyers traded the 45 pick, Do you know who originally owned the number 40 pick…. ANAHEIM!!!! 😂😂😂😂
Philly got FLEECED
😂😂😂
FLYERS WILL BREAK THE SINGLE SEASON RECORD FIRST MOST ATTEMPTED MICHIGANS
Was going to call Steve a closet Sharks fan but I think he's mostly come out already.
Ducks don't need another bottom 6 center. Top Centers are Carlsson, McTavish, and Strome. They still have Lundestrom and Washe as RFAs fighting for the 4th line spot. Where does this guy slot in? Is Strome moving back to wing? He spent a lot of time on McTavish's wing a few seasons ago.
I believe the trade Montreal was going to do with Anaheim was Zegras and pick 34 in the 2024 draft for Mailloux and pick 21 in the 2024 draft; but when Demidov was still available at pick 5 in the 2024 draft Montreal told Anaheim they are no longer going to make the deal.
Flyers fan here, we really loved Ryan Poehling. He was everything a Flyer should be. Can pitch in offense from time to time, miserable to deal with on D, a bit of an asshole… we will miss him.
"Instant Analysis".. a day after everyone else. Screw off with your garbage podcast and screw your fake last name b.s.
Bag of pucks of Trevor. Sorry terrible return. Im a Flyers fan RP is a 4th line center Jesus please stop
If the Ducks need a 4th line character guy they could do worse than Poehling. However if the Ducks have aspirations of being a good team they can’t expect to use him any higher than that. Ultimately from a cost standpoint Briere did very well with this deal.
Flyers might have an actual PP this yeat.
I hope nobody wants to be the Panthers i enjoy watching actual hockey not goons on ice
Once again, I have to question what we're even doing in Anaheim at this point. We're giving up on a young player after a down year when the problem goes well beyond said young player having a down year? This just reeks of "We don't want a competitive team, we just want a team" from this front office. If I'm a Ducks fan right now, I'm considering watching something else that isn't the Ducks until this front office gets turned over. I don't know why anyone would try to defend this move unless they have financial incentive from the Ducks themselves.
Please don't be bright orange for 6 or 7 years…
I don’t like the way Zegras plays, but perhaps he finds his game in Philly. Reset for him and I hope he makes the most of it.
