the Buffalo Sabres are officially the 2025 Stanley Cup champions well not exactly now obviously Buffalo didn’t win a cup this year but if you look at some of the recent Stanley Cup champions their former players have all found success once they left the Sabres organization taking a look back in 2019 Ryan O’Reilly won a cup with the Blues 2023 Jack Eel wins a cup with the Vegas Golden Knights and now Sam Reinhardt has won back-to-back cups with the Panthers and this is all without mentioning some of the countless role players that have gone on to win championships once they left Buffalo not sure what Buffalo was thinking with some of these moves but clearly there needs to be some sort of culture change because they know how to draft they can develop some of these guys but when it comes to putting together a winning team that blends well together they’re not exactly the best in that category overall just a tough break for the Buffalo Sabres

Brandon montor won the 2024 cup with Florida after coming from buffalo and lias ullmark won the vesna and jennines after leaving buffalo and ullmark also was a goalie for the most winningest team in the history of the nhl (so far)
They had no choice they refused to play for buffalo and ended up forcing to be traded
