I’m not worried at all about the series, but selfishly I spent $300 to be in the building last night to get to watch a special moment and instead I got probably the most frustrating game. I have been to in years.😂😂😂😂
Its disappointing scoring 5 goals a game then not score 1 at home with a chance to advance. Bob is the only one one who showed up.
I’m really upset because I actually went to the game to see that dog shit effort. But on the bright side, it was just 0-1 without ENGs despite how terrible we played.
There was a shot kulikov took that if he had passed it to verhagee it was an easy goal he had me screaming at my television

Just wasn’t the Panthers night! From the start the Cats were fumbling pucks, passing was slightly off, and the Canes were clogging the middle blocking shots! Hats off to the Hurricanes for getting the win! Maurice will tweak a little and Wednesday will be the end of the series!

I agree with getting Mackie in the game over Sturm, also missed Mikkola, and let’s face it Rhinehart led this years team in pts. Still only one goal against Bob’s! Yes it’s frustrating but also close to a perfect storm of circumstances going against the Cats! Also Tkachuk is a shell of himself! He can’t move well and his passing is head scratching at times! Would be surprised if Tkachuk doesn’t go for surgery after the finals and miss the 1st half of the season next year! (These 4 Nations exhibitions BS they can cram up their a**)
But honestly…the refs could have called Canes interfearence penalties, every 10 seconds, and they didn't….to me it was clear, the league set a precedent, they don't want a sweep. And I can understand why, the more games, the $$$ for the league, networks, and advertisers….
Missing the Panther’s best defenseman really hurt them. Mikkola is such a tremendous piece of the team. Losing his defensive prowess made it hard to keep pucks in the offensive zone, made breakouts more difficult, and allowed the Canes to posses the puck.
Jaws, love the passion. But the boys have won 9 of their last 10 playoffs. They can close. For some reason though they need some pressure to do so.
So very disappointing
But this looked like a fixed game to extend the series

Sturm and Nosek were our best forwards tonight. We ain't winning when they're our most dangerous forwards.
No Panthers players were interested in playing in this game. They just went through the motions. When the players are like that, nobody will execute plays. And it's just an overall terrible game they will play.
Respectfully, we Canes fans desperately needed this one. I’d like to think most Caniacs are reasonable and are thinking there’s no chance Cats don’t put it away on Wednesday, but getting to game 5 is improvement in our eyes. Despite the loss, I thought Bobrovsky had a really good game. Let’s go Canes
If we swept this game we’re not come out healthy in the finals like I said remember what happened in 2023

They took the night off just like they did in game 6 vs Toronto, don't worry, I think they're looking at the other series, Maurice does NOT want 5/6/7 days off between series, he said himself the team prefers, and plays more consistently, when they go every other day, he does not want a long layoff. If Dallas wins tonight evening up that series, you can probably bank on another Panther loss Wednesday, if the Oilers go 3-1 in the series, Panthers probably expel the canes in 5, either way, I'm confident the Panthers can turn it on and snap Carolina in half, when they feel the need…
The panthers almost never win the first elimination game I swear.

Up 3-0 on Tampa, went to 5
Up 3-1 on Boston, went to 6
Up 3-0 on Edmonton, went to 7
Up 3-2 on Toronto, went to 7
Now up 3-0 on canes and going to 5.
I feel like it’s unfair to compare to last year because. We weren’t missing Reino Mikksy or 4th line guys in the cup final, and we had home ice. Carolina still has two games left before we can start saying we can’t finish them off after 3-0. A little reactionary also we’ve seen what this team can do. Also we won 4 straight games, last time we got shut out at home we waxed Toronto on the road, and Toronto is a much better team than Carolina. I think we’ll be fine
Being honest, I watched first period and went to bed, ass effort, I saw the writing on the wall, we seem to have a problem getting motivated in non desperate close out games, all good Cats still got this
