The Oilers learned from a few seasons ago when Drai's leg was targeted by the Flames, and 2 years ago when Pietrangelo slashed Drai's wrist and the team targeted it in the following 2 games. This is a result of playoff experience.
I think the Leafs now know what the refs and DoPS are willing to put up with.
I mean, not only did the Leafs team say "Meh" about Bennett's knockout of Stolarz, but the fans were like: "That's dirty! That's cheap! And Bennett and Marchand are free agents this year…SIGN THEM!!!"
And those two were like: "Nah…Leafs too soft for me."
