  1. I think they both should give it a week or so OR perhaps they wait until the playoffs are 100% done!? Then, you're truthfully 100% dialed in to the task at hand. And before this Canes vs. Panthers series gets any further along Steve. Is Anderson good enough to withstand that Panthers offense? I don't know???😬

  2. Fans like you over the years ripping on Marner are the reason he should leave. Back in 2019 who played better?

  3. Keeping the 4 of them together this long has been a mistake, letting Marner be the one to leave even bigger mistake…. always injured Austin staying on the team @ $13+ mil handcuff's future talent signings sooooooo bad. Injured last year.playoffs.. or sick or whatever.. injured this year.. still injured in the playoffs… i think he made like 200k while he was talking to a doctor in Germany lol… Marner wants long term… so obviously he's gonna ask for more then Matthews… HE"S BETTER… in every facet of the game and if we had gotten Rantenan he would want more or equal to Matthews for 8yr's also. As far as signing talent…. your not getting another star in their prime while Matthews is on the team or if the cap goes up a ton. my 2 cents anyways. I wish Marner all the best.. he was the best out of the 4 of them and i hope he wins the cup next year where ever he ends up and parades it around Toronto with his dick out.

  4. Letting a player walk, who wants to, into a free agency pay day, isn't culture change. You need to trade a star, in a cushy contract to make a point. See: Huberdeau; Florida. Absolutely no guts in the running of this franchise. There has been no battle in this team for years.

  5. You cannot fix stupid with this Leaf organization. The shanny Plan of ten years to double down on core-5 failed big time! They overpay and coddle these players who won nothing. This is insanity! Shanahan is the first to go. What an incompetent hockey exec. His biggest mistake is Hiring Dufas! He ruined the club's Cap and depleted/mishandled the assets like Hyman and Kadri. The Leafs are the JOKE OF THE LEAGUE. Remember the Leafs losing to a Zamboni emergency goalie! The NHL should offer a second franchise to Toronto. Forget the tire fire Leafs. No hope to fix the ridiculous Leafs!

  6. only way he should be allowed back is if he signs a 1 year $1m deal and has to perform in the playoffs and if not then kick rocks. if they give him max deal lol. thats too damn funny.

  7. Let Marner walk. He doesn't synergize well enough with Matthews in the playoffs.
I'd rather we traded Matthews tbh and kept Marner, but it probably won't happen.
Matthews is a bust honestly and never shows up in the playoffs. But sadly we'll lose Marner.

  8. why is the convo always on Marner?
where was Mr 69-goals this time around? Missing again????
the elephant in the room is #34.

  9. In the eyes of MLSE, Shanahan has been nothing but a massive success:
    – Longest active playoff streak
    – Multiple marketable superstar players
An overlooked part of not trading the "core 4" is to continue to use them in marketing and maximize from their jersey sale revenue.

  10. Maybe right now the issue is not with the Leafs. Its with the Panthers. They are unstopable. they swept Carolina in 2024. At least Toronto took them to 7 ganmes. Florida took out Tampa in 5. The Leafs beat this incredible team 3 times. tampa only did that once and the Canes are 0-5 against them thus far after last night's loss. So give the Leafs some credit fr hanging onto this bucking bronco for as long as they did..

  11. You are giving Brad too much credit. As a flames fan, you should absolutely blame brad for not moving him when you had the chance and for insulting him when you couldn’t move him. We saw it in Calgary. Screw Brad

  12. Toronto, you may not forgive me for saying this, are the biggest cry babies of the NHL. They want to win so bad and would sell their kids to buy a Stanley Cup. The expectation is so monstrous, that losing is no longer acceptable or conceivable, they need someone to point their angers at, and the local boy is that someone. You want to know how ridiculous this pushing Marner out of town is ? Check out the numbers of Marner's first nine years in the NHL on a young, inept team, and contrast them with the first nine years of the career of Doug Gilmour, the most beloved player of Maple Leafs fans, on an older, far more skilled and experienced team. Then, tell me if Toronto fans have a legitimate reason for crying, and chasing Mitch out of town. Go compare the notes. I dare you !

  13. I DISAGREE with you. Continually tradfing away players when there is no instant success is not a guaranteed recipe for sucess. You are Monday morning quarterbacking Shannahan for making a decision that could just as easily have worked. It did not work but it could have worked. How many times in history have 2 people taken the exact same gamble. It works for Person A but does not work for Person B. Roll the dice again and maybe the next time it works for Person B but not person A. Thats life. I am glad we never traded Marner and I think it will be a mistake to let him go. Tavares comes off the books. Resign him at 5 mill, demote him to the 3rd line and use the cash to sign a 2nd line forward. Toronto is a great team defeated by a monster in the Florida Panthers who is unbeatable and has not been beaten in the playoffs by anyone else. 10 playoff series 2023-2025, they have 9 wins and 1 loss (To Vegas 2023, the cup champs)
